TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras Four U.S. Republican lawmakers met with Honduras' interim president on Friday in a challenge to Washington's condemnation of the coup that brought him to power.
The brief, amicable visit with the leaders of the coup that ousted President Manuel Zelaya highlights a divide in Washington, where the Obama administration is working to reinstate Zelaya but many conservatives side with the government installed after soldiers arrested the president in his pajamas and flew him into exile.
South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, the leader of the delegation, said before the trip that even calling Zelaya's overthrow a coup is "ill-informed and baseless."

Good. At least a few people with working brain parts are there, on the ground, to find out more about what happened.

Glad to see it. Somebody needs to remind the Dems and their lapdog media that the truth isn’t whatever they say it is. This was as clear a case of deliberate and sustained misrepresentation as we’ve seen in a long time, and they’re still at it. BTT.

I Applaud this effort. Wonder what the Dem-Underground/Huffington Post people are saying.

You need to stop fretting yourself about words "they" use. You're worth too much.
The significant thing here is Republicans acting according to objective truth rather than subjective, Marxist truth.
I hope those reading this recognize the significance of this visit.

The GOP should be referring to it as impeachment as this is what it was.
He was removed in accordance to Honduras' constitution.

The fact that the media is still referring to this as a coup is proof that they have no integrity. But we knew that already.

A delegation from the Organization of American States, which has taken the lead in pushing for a negotiated resolution that restores Zelaya to power, was expected to arrive later Friday. If I recall correctly, the last 'delegation' that the OAS sent was denied visas and put back on a plane. Hold fast, Honduras. And restore civil liberties. You're not helping yourself there.

Once again a liberal story that neglects to even write a single paragraph with a simple timeline of the legal events that led to Zelaya’s legal ouster. Then, even worse, the AP writer mentions that Zelaya denies doing exactly what he was doing and leaves it at that.
People that complain that the Pubbies suck at PR need to remember that they could give a million interviews and the LMSM will simply ignore them. Unfortunately for all the Dem Media they are slowly but surely dieing of lack of credibility.

Yeah, he’s been darn good lately, and for most of his days in DC. But I’d take Hunter, who has more wisdom and knowledge about our military, its needs, and geopolitics than the entire House and Senate put together.
