The City of Chicago was eliminated in the first round of voting, before any host city was selected.
An expert called it the "biggest shock in IOC history."
Supporters gathered in Chicago were equally shocked. Many left the rally in tears.

Sheesh, Obama goes for a “little” win, and is totally snubbed.
I figured the fix was in or he would never have done it. I think I overestimate the guy.

CHICAGO ELIMINATED FROM THE 2016 HOST CITY VOTE
The vote closes and the scrutineers are now checking the results. If there is no majority for one city, remember, the city with the least votes will drop out and another vote will take place.

There’s so much more to being the POTUS than being an Alinsky-style “community organizer.”

In this case, it's more and more likely that Rio de Janeiro will win. And it will win with one VERY good reason: because Rio is only one time zone ahead of the US Eastern Time Zone, that means just about every event during the Games can be broadcast live to at least the eastern half of the USA.

Since Drudge put that photo up immediately, you can BET that he had at least two pics on file, ready to go as soon as the news broke. Obama won; Obama lost; and maybe another for suspense, if Chicago stayed in another round or two.
But this couldn’t be better. Obama lost in the first round!

Well, THAT was an exercise in futility.
Shouldn’t have sent Michelle m’belle in first, she sort of spooked the Olympic Committee.
None of this following the women into the room, the reactionary types on the Olympic Committee do not like it when the women come along to argue the merits of their pitch.

The IOC did Chicago and American taxpayers a favor...the Olympics are a HUGE financial loser...even the ‘84 L.A. Olympics that were reported to be a financial gain failed to report the millions it cost for SECURITY...I went to the boxing at the Shrine auditorium...for free(friend who worked at ABC gave me tix); the Shrine auditorium was EMPTY. And besides the opening & closing ceremonies, everyone stayed home and watched it on TV.
