A homeowner fires shots at a suspect outside their home in West Chester.

Police say a man kicked in the door to Edward Honerlaw's home in the 8200 block of West Chester Road, shortly before 2 pm today.

After a brief scuffle, the intruder fled to his pickup truck.

Honerlaw fired a shot at the suspect's vehicle.

Police describe the suspect as a male, white, around 35 years-old, six-feet, 175 pounds, with a gray beard. He was wearing a white hooded sweat shirt.

Police are looking for a tan Ford F-150 pickup truck with an extended cab, Ohio license DDK3796.

I am happy to report this crime spree has come to an end. The information below was from the local paper this morning. They tied this idiot into two other idiots that were working in my area.

Middletown police Detective Rich Bush said investigators will attempt to interview Kyle P. Lightner, 22, of Bannon Court, who was charged by West Chester Twp. police Wednesday evening with burglary. Lightner allegedly kicked in the back door of a home in the 8200 block of West Chester Road, according to police.

The son of the West Chester Twp. homeowner chased the suspect out of the house and fired a shot into the front of his vehicle, according to police reports. Lightner was later arrested in Middletown.
