In 2008, voters in the Iowa Caucus -- famous for their quirky picks -- gave a little-known Democrat named Barack Obama his first victory, propelling him toward the White House.
Now, First Lady Michelle Obama is in Copenhagen, stumping for Chicago's bid to host the 2016 Summer Olympics. And last night, at a pep-rally dinner for 300 supporters of Chicago's bid, she likened the race in Denmark to that contest way back when in Iowa.
"As my husband would say, we are fired up and ready to go in here," she said, echoing the slogan that generated so much excitement on the campaign trail last year. Comparing the contest in Denmark to the one in Iowa, the first lady added, “Nobody makes the decision until they’re sitting there. So the next few days really provide us with a real opportunity to hold some hands, to have some conversations, to share our visions.”

I think what she is somewhat mysteriously hinting at is that, just as they bought & stole the Iowa Caucus, they have already bought and stolen the Olympic Committee’s decision. I would speculate that she probably flew over there with a bagful of Chicago mob cash in her diplomatic pouch, to payoff the committee.
This decision is in the bag, or they wouldn’t both be over there, risking their reps on a possible defeat.

The Iowa caucuses were where the Obama supporters first really fly -- they screamed at people, they bullied people, they called people racist. They won Iowa through really ugly strong-arm tactics.
I don't think that will fly so well in Europe.
Are they fired up enough to go against the will of the American people? They don’t want the Olympics in this country at this time.
That is the concern. Always in campaign mode to get more. Can we begin to manage what we have to make it better.

I also cannot imagine that this foreknowledge can be kept a secret.
Yes it is a political campaign and winning would mean millions of taxpayer dollars going into the hands of Chicago union bosses, the Mayor Daley machine and to assorted Obama cronies. While it would have been OK for Michelle to go to Copenhagen on her own dime, it is galling that the US taxpayers had to pay for both her and her entourage as well as Barry all for the potential benefit of corrupt Illinois officials.
