Democrats Win Lobbyists but Lose Basic Reforms

As Sen. Max Baucus tries to squeeze a health care bill out of the Senate Finance Committee, and as Sens. Barbara Boxer and John Kerry race to meet their latest deadline to introduce a bill to reduce carbon dioxide, some Democrats wonder whether their congressional leaders and the president who has deferred to them have sought only limited changes rather than more fundamental reform on both health insurance and carbon emissions.

Never-the-less, the IPCC has based its apocalyptic "hockey stick" chart of rising global temperatures that, it now turns out, is based on the historic concentric rings on exactly 12 trees. Count 'em, twelve sets of rings.

Billions of dollars ripped from the coffers of the rich countries and showered on the developing nations, industries crippled, carbon sacrificing, electricity plants shut down, etc., etc., etc. .....based on 12 trees somewhere in Russia?

It's almost laughable, if it weren't so sickening. Is it just me....or have we been had?

I’m with you.
This is all about ‘central planning’.
Kerry and Boxer have reinserted ‘indirect land use’ into the Senate Bill.
They must really think we’re stupid.
