. . . While waiting I have been reading over the growing list of entertainment industry personalities who have risen to the defense of the director. The list is stomach-turning. Many of the names I know. Some were once personal friends. Some of those ex-friends even have children, who I also knew.

These folks are supporting a man who, when 43 years old, drugged a 13 year old girl with alcohol and a Quaalude in Jack Nicholson's hottub, ignored her repeated refusals, and had sex with her anyway. Orally. Vaginally. Anally.

I searched out her testimony and the young girl states that she had not been a virgin at the time of the incident and that she had taken qualludes before and drank many times before.
There was another woman with her at Jack Nicholson’s house and she made no attempt to alert her as to what was going on.
He even had several phone calls with her mother with her 5 feet away from him. He told the mother that her daughter would be home very late.
This in no way excuses anything that he did but he sure was stupid!

OK, so why don’t folks like Sean, Rush, Laura, Ann and Sarah chip in and run ads during primetime and during the View explaining exactly what this creep did. It doesn't surprise me too much. Some years back he was one of the ones at the Oscars who was shown clapping and smiling when Michael Moore gave his acceptance speech (i don't remember all the details now, but it was a controversial rant that at least some in the audience booed....i think it was for his documentary propaganda on the Iraq war).

My first response was WTF? why would a mother let her 13 year old daughter go off with any man other than her father? It does look like the girl was kinda loose, but, she was 13 with no parental guidance. The mother should also have been charged with child endangerment or something.
