Should one of New York's great landmarks be used to honor of the 60th anniversary of the bloody Communist uprising and takeover of China?
(Excerpt) Read more at foxnews.com ...
Google did nothing for 9/11 lets see if they do something for the Communists
Do they own it?
No but it should go red for David Patterson and Chuck Schumer. ;-)
(Should the Empire State Building Go Red For China?)
Why not, our government has.
Yes. China is a major U.S. investor and trading partner and its time to celebrate our close ties. 1% (48 votes)
Yes. But the struggle for freedom in Tibet should also be honored. 1% (23 votes)
No. The Empire State Building — or any American landmark — should not be used to celebrate China’s Communist takeover. 98% (3,423 votes)
I’m not sure. <1% (16 votes)
Total Votes: 3,510
Will they be changing the name to the Anti-Imperialist Building?
Where is the “Communism sucks on par with Nazism and should never be celebrated ANYWHERE in this world” option?
If conservatives rise up and rid the country of comunists. fascists and socialists will China light up a building with red for us?
No. The Empire State Building or any American landmark should not be used to celebrate Chinas Communist takeover. 98% (3,423 votes)

Good to see.
But how many of those 98% voted last November for the Communist takeover of America by the RaceMarxist?
Sure.
Let’s celebrate the slaughter of over 60 million people in the last century.
Let’s celebrate the enslavement of millions more.
Let’s celebrate a culture that has burned its libraries over and over again.
Let’s celebrate a culture that vaules the lives of its citizens the same as a wheelbarrow or a shovel.
Let’s celebrate the cultural genocide that the Hans practice to this day.
Adn while we’re at it, let’s celebrate the fact that the reason that htis is happenign is that the same ideas that have sanctioned a century of slaughter, atrocity, slavery and impoverishment now have a happy home in the White House.
I thought that conservatives believed in Property Rights and if that is the case, it is none of our damn business what color lights the owners of the Empire State Building shine on their property.
I would like to ask the supporters of this bizarre homage why an American building should be used to celebrate the communist takeover of China, which resulted in the death of AT LEASE 60 million Chinese people. Is this a cause for celebration? Or for mourning?
We are in bad shape when 98% of the population are against Private Property Rights.
Yeah, they probably ought to light up the Empire State Building RED. We need to THANK the Chinese that the US dollar isn’t any WORSE than it is. When you borrow, there is an ancient BOOK, that suggests, you are always SLAVE to the one that you owe. So, there will be a lot of Americans having to kiss the hand that feeds us...
Suggestion ~ Chicoms should stay away from the Empire State building for the next several months on account of that possibility ~ it being so appropriate and all.
This is ridiculous!!!....Celebrate communism? Whats next?...celebrate Allah in a city where 3000 civilians were killed?.....
RE: property rights
Since this vote is non-binding on the owners of the Empire State Building, this vote is more about free speech rather than property rights.
“We are in bad shape when 98% of the population are against Private Property Rights.”

No one is asking for an abridgement of property rights.
The question was “Should?”.
If you owned the corner stone and timber mansion in my town, a landmark property known by all, I would say that you SHOULDN’T paint it pink with purple polka dots, but would NOT, short of agreed upon property standards laws, object to your insane RIGHT to do so.
Not no, but HELL NO!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. China is a major U.S. investor and trading partner and its time to celebrate our close ties. 2% (178 votes)
Yes. But the struggle for freedom in Tibet should also be honored. 1% (99 votes)
HELL No! The Empire State Building — or any American landmark — should not be used to celebrate China’s Communist takeover. 97% (11,091 votes)
I’m not sure. 1% (60 votes)
Total Votes: 11,428
There fixed it
Freeped only found No but did not see any Hell No.
There is something not mentioned here. Take a ride down to Atlantic City some night. As you scan all of the casinos, you will notice that almost all lighting is red. There is a reason for that. The casinos want to attract as many high rollers as they can. Many are flown in from Asia. In China, red is considered a lucky color. I know many Freepers already know this.
Is it legal to drive down the street with a big
blue spotlight....that would turn it to purple...
Wow! I love that idea!!
“Freep this Poll (Should the Empire State Building Go Red For China?)”
Not until Red China goes Imperial in its state.
“Is it legal to drive down the street with a big
blue spotlight....that would turn it to purple...”
Purple is the color of royalty. They hate royalty in China.
Let’s turn in purple!
