House Minority Leader John Boehner torched President Barack Obama Wednesday for his European trip to pitch the Chicago Olympics bid, criticizing the president for "going to go off to Copenhagen when we've got serious issues here at home that need to be debated."

Frankly, I don’t want the world to see what Chicago has become.
To be honest it might not be a bad thing for zero to be distracting himself from real issues. Guess it comes down to the question of whether he is more dangerous to our security with his hands on the wheel or off of them.
:-)
Maybe they can put walls up to keep the locals out of sight like the Chinese did...
can some one tell me how to post pictures within replies?
I have a couple pics of local Rio de Janarins Freepers may be interested in seeing as the emBODYment of the 2016 games
Hey...what’s more important? Chicago or the USA? Come on...
Judging by what I have seen com out of Chicago during the past few days, walls won’t be enough.
Can’t wait to see the look on BO’s face when they say, “And the winner is ... Rio de Janeiro!!!!!!” Does anyone know what time (Eastern Time Zone) the vote will be on Friday? I would like to watch it. I’m sure it will be on TV.
Tokyo works for me too. Just want to see 0bama spurned on the world stage.
You are certainly not alone!
What could be more important to Obama than delivering a giant boondoogle that his friends in Chicago can use to enrich themselves (and Obama)? Afghanistan? Iran? The economy? Doesn’t look like it does it.
An Olympic sized fraud.
The President’s spokesman asked “where does Steele want the olympics”, as if it is unamerican not to care about it.
But i don’t care. I can’t attend the olympics, whether it is in Chicago or Rio De Genero, or Madrid.
And my state will get no benefit from the olympics being in this country. The country won’t get any benefit. If anybody makes any money (unlikely) it will be Illinois and Chicago, but more likely they will lose money, and my guess is the feds will bail them out so my tax money will be spent, just like it’s being spent now to get the olympics.
So no, I don’t think it is good for America to win this olympic games, and even if it isn’t bad, I don’t think I’m unamerican for not caring.
The street huslter busts a move for his homies in Chi town....
Can you imagine the level of graft and corruption that can result from the Olympics going to Chicago. Easy Billions to spread around.
So, why did the American olympic committee pick Chicago of all places anyway? Why not one of the places where we already built everything?
I am thinking that all of Obamas cronies are buying up property in Chicago as we speak!
Beware ... there is more to this than we realize.
a very faint way to use the power of the Presidency. MO
i don’t see Obama making this very expensive (free for him) road trip unless the fix is in already. I really hope I’m wrong and he gets his dumbo ears handed to him.
“Can you imagine the level of graft and corruption that can result from the Olympics going to Chicago. Easy Billions to spread around.”.....
Not to mention the number of pick pockets and burglars that will show up......
I also could not care less whether the 0lympics are ever held again on American soil. With the exception of LA’84, all have been costly, corrupt boondoggles w/no real value to the host city.
My guess is it will either be Chicago or Rio b/c it will have been 20 years since the summer olympics have been able to have been broadcast live in prime time in the US.
They didn’t show the 1996 Olympics LIVE in the US. The events worth watching were delayed. (women’s gymnastics) It was so disappointing to know who had won before they had even been shown, especially when we were within a 3 hour drive of Atlanta at the time. I haven’t cared much for the Olympics since then. The internet has helped a bit, but it would still be nice to have the events LIVE on television.
ABC! (Anywhere but Chicago)
We’re better off for the next 39 months if O’Bozo does fly about the world and stay out of the country!
Keep it up, someone needs to speak out against this travesty.
