Hi, Ironjack:
I have been a conservative ever since I started listening to Rush Limbaugh in the mid-1990s.
I came to the realization that the Democratic party - as well meaning as some liberals are - was detrimental to inner-city blacks, because they were not encouraging responsibility. And, as result, too many blacks lack the wherewithal to get up and do for themselves. On top of that, we are not instilling values and standards of achievement for our children.
I work with Barbara From Harlem, because we are on a mission to wake up as many people as possible. We believe that conservative values are more in line with Biblical values, and that this country needs to get back to the basic values that made it great. We are espcially interested in reaching out to our fellow African Americans, who desparately need to put the true and living God back at the forefront of our lives. I have lived in inner-city areas, such as the South Bronx and Harlem for many years, and I have seen the devastation first hand.
I will be posting more information, but I wanted to get back to you.
Thank you for interest and support.
Best,
BlackFemaleConservative
Welcome! Our country needs your prayers and support.
Best of luck to you, in your work and in your own life.
I enjoyed listening to the first podcast. Will listen to more later. Glen Beck had a very good program on yesterday following along similar lines. That is black conservatives living within the inner urban cities and the struggles they go through.
He had Charles Payne on who talked about how he was harrassed while growing up for getting good grades and “talking white”. He also had another pastor on (I’m sorry to say I forget his name. First time I had ever saw him) talking about the work he is trying to do in the inner cities.
Thank you very much for the background. Your group sounds like it has much in common with Rev Jesse Lee Peterson’s BOND.
Please flag me whenever you post the additional information. I think we can all agree that this is a cause we should get behind.
By the way, bravo to you and your colleagues for having the courage to stand up and defy the stale, ineffective placebos of the race-baiters. You must know how savagely they will retaliate.
Thank you for your kind words (sorry for the delay in responding to you).
I work with Barbara from Harlem and will pass your words on to her.
May God Bless you and thank you for your support!
