Was President Obama born out of wedlock in 1961?
The question has been rekindled by the publication this month of "Barack and Michelle: Portrait of an American Marriage" by former Time magazine contributing editor Christopher Andersen.
Andersen has raised once again the question of whether Obama's parents were ever officially married, writing on page 25: "On February 21, 1961 – a Thursday – Barack Obama and Ann Dunham were reportedly married in a civil ceremony on the island of Maui, although there are no official records showing that a legal ceremony ever took place."
Dunham was a teenager, 18-years-old, when Barack Obama Jr. was born.
Andersen elaborated, "There were certainly no witnesses (to the alleged civil marriage ceremony) – no family members were present, and none of their friends at the university had the slightest inkling that they were even engaged."
Anderson further quoted Rep. Neil Abercrombie, D-Hawaii, a self-admitted friend of Barack Obama Sr. and Ann Dunham in 1961, as saying that "nobody" was invited to the wedding ceremony.

That is what I have always thought. The birth certificate shows father as “unknown.” That is how they did it in the 60’s even if daddy fessed up.
Well, Obama must be hiding something. It would be so easy to show his birth certificate.
So is he NBC if they were not married? She could not confer citizenship due to her age and the father is still British.

If that’s all it is, then it’s a very silly reason to continue to hide his Long Form Birth Certificate.
Especially in this day and age when out-of-wedlock births are pretty common.

I agree. Some people say he was really born in Kenya. But, it’s quite possible he was born in Hawaii, but that there is something on the birth certificate that he doesn’t want known.
1. Perhaps his parents weren’t married.
2. Perhaps his birth name was not Barack Obama. It could have been Barry Dunham.
3. Perhaps someone other than Barack Obama Sr. is listed as the father.
If there is a legitimate Hawaiian birth certificate, there is some reason that Barack doesn’t want us to see it.
Assuming they were married as he claims, since bigamy is illegal in Hawaii (and every other state) the marriage was null and void.
Barak Sr. already had a wife waiting for him back in Kenya.

Why did Stanley Ann take Obama’s name then? There was a listing, I believe in Seattle, which shows her using Ann Obama. Also, why get divorced if you were never married?

All of those things are minor from my perspective but I admit I doubt I would understand the O’s thinking on this if that was the case anyway.
BTW, my theory is he was first named Barry Dunham, son of Stanley Ann Dunham, then renamed Barry Obama when Stanley claimed marriage to Barack Obama, sr, then renamed Barry Soetoro when Stanley married Lolo Soetoro and he was adopted byt Lolo, then Barry cahnged his name officially to Barack Hussein Obama in 1988 when he decided to be that persona for the gaming value of it after exploiting his Indonesian citizenship for all he could get out of it for college entry, tuition, and passport travels.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but if the father is unknown or refuses to be named, doesn't the child get the mother's surname by default?
I think the mother has absolute control over the last name, whether true or not.

I suspect the child of a married woman, at least 40 years ago, took the name of the woman’s husband by default.
I’ve never seen any claims that Obama’s parents didn’t go thru a marriage ceremony.
We now know the marriage wasn’t legal in this country, as it was bigamous, but the state officials didn’t know that at the time.
Barry couldn’t pick his parents. And sadly, he learned how to lie and game the system from his ‘artful dodger’ mother. I would be surprised if he knows who is Father is. I won’t condemn him for it but this hiding of a basic document seems quite intentional. The office of POTUS is reserved for natural born citizens by divine providence. If he is usurping that authority then he is doomed to fail.
From all accounts I’ve read, BO Sr. was (at best) a reluctant participant in BO’s life. Given this, I don’t know if I can picture SADO wildly insisting his name be on the paperwork, especially in light of the fact that she ended up running away from him later.
Any birth certificates of Zer0 we have seen have been forgeries.

The Hawaii phony COLB shows Barack Obama Sr as his father.
It is my theory that the kindergarten entry records for Barry were filched because the name on the birth registration doesn’t match the name the sonofabitch used in college or after name changes.
Possibly not married and born in Kenya. No NBC.
If she never married Obama Sr., then why would she have pretended she had and jump through the legal hurdles of getting a divorce? What advantage would that have given her over being unmarried in terms of custody or child support for little Barry? She wasn’t looking to Obama Sr. for alimony.
And if she was going to pretend she was married and get a divorce, why pretend she was married in Maui as opposed to Honolulu?
And I would expect any reputable attorney handling the divorce would have asked to see all relevant information as to the formation of the marriage and the status of the children.
And has anybody really carefully checked the Wailuku records for the original marriage entry by the justice of the peace? Did WND do that or did they take someone’s word on that?
That’s a problem, I would think. If courts don’t ask for marriage certificates; it’s probably because they can get them from records and they have to testify I would think they are actually married.

This issue pales in comparison to his legitimacy for being POTUS. His biological father was not a U.S. citizen. The bastard issue just adds to the fact he’s not qualified, which is cause for Soros cronies to strip his ID from everywhere.
If they were not married, then even if born overseas, he's at minimum a citizen. If the father is not acknowledged, then we can't know if he a non-citizen or not. It might have been Leroy from Seattle that did the deed. But if born outside the US, he'd be a statory citizen, not a natural born one. Born in the US, he'd probably be natural born, but who knows.
However I don't think that is what he's hiding. Hardly worth the money, which could be put to "better" purposes, better from his point of view that is. Besides, being the child of an unwed mother would just give him even more "Street cred", and really would not reflect negatively on HIM, as opposed to on his mother. Those days are pretty well gone. (If not for Aarron Burrs's good aim, we'd likely have had a bastard President, Alexander Hamilton.

If BO was born in 1961 and changed his name to BHO in 1988, then at the time he was 27 years old.
I know someone who had one name on his certified (abstract) BC, but a different name on his marriage certificate and all subsequent documents. I was told he had officially, legally changed his name when he was 22 years old.
If this person had changed his name (officially, legally, in a court of law), that change was not reflected on his certified (abstract) BC.
(The person in question lived in one of the "Original 13" and not the lovely Island State.)
Why would this name change not be officially noted on the BC in this case, but in BO's case the name change WOULD be there?
The real blockbuster revelation in the book is the reporting that Bill Ayers wrote Obama's Dreams From My Father.
One thing seems clear: Either Ayers wrote Dreams or Obama wrote Fugitive Days.

Actually, it would not matter if they did attempt a marriage in the USA. It would have been bigamy as BO’s dad had a few wives in Africa already. The marriage would have been phony.

What ethnicity is Obama’s “white” half? Last names don’t mean very much as they are often changed.
Since we really don’t know what records are in ‘vital records’ for Barry, it is safe to only say he has at least two entries in his vital records. There may be as many as five entries, but only the data from which a statement from Fukino was made have real likelihood. We may surmise that because he has had two legal names, at least. The obamanoids will squalk at that characterization because they are desperate to protect their bastard pres_ _ent, but that is the best we can reason out with the very limited data available, presently.
My theory is that Stanley Ann Dunham was popular with the black boys. (I mean no offense, it is merely the truth)
One should be able to see reasons why she would pick an older, respected, secure black man to use for a shotgun wedding.
I have a feeling she didn’t know who the father was, but she knew he was black.
So, Obama’s mom was a slut who didn’t even know who the father was, picked out some older guy to blame it on, dumped her kid on the grandparents, and left to jump into bed with another guy.
