Obama science czar John Holdren stated in a college textbook that "illegitimate children" born to unwed mothers could be taken by the government and put up for adoption if the mother refused to have an abortion.
Holdren, director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, argued that "illegitimate childbearing could be strongly discouraged" as a socioeconomic measure imposed to control population growth.
As previously reported, WND has obtained a copy of the 1970s college textbook "Ecoscience: Population, Resources, Environment" that Ehrlich co-authored with Malthusian population alarmist Paul R. Ehrlich and Ehrlich's wife, Anne. The authors argued involuntary birth-control measures, including forced sterilization, may be necessary and morally acceptable under extreme conditions, such as widespread famine brought about by "climate change."
On page 786, the authors wrote that one way to discourage illegitimate childbearing "might be to insist that all illegitimate babies be put up for adoption – especially those born to minors who generally are not capable of caring properly for a child alone."

It’s really amazing how the Left has always embraced fascism. Am reading (and highly recommend) Jonah Goldberg’s book “Liberal Fascism”, which traces the roots of the Left’s love affair with fascism. Every day I see more evidence of it - always the idea that the State is our savior - truly creepy and frightening.
The welfare moms would be only too glad to have their little “indiscretions” taken off their hands, especially after the big bonus they’d get. That would make them vote Democrat. As for the children themselves, why they’d all be raised to vote DOP, naturally.
Put them in the new Civilian Corps Academy.

Every new idea and plan coming from the left means another tax increase.
After watching my husband spend all his free time listening and watching sports, I told him that what happened with sports figures wasn't going to affect his very life, but politicians were. After that, he seemed to be a bit more understanding.

Exactly. I find it ironic that conservative parents encourage their unmarried daughters to keep babies when that baby could go to a loving couple who would raise the baby in a complete home.
