CAN THE SUPREME COURT STOP THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OBAMATHON? (vanity)
He's everywhere, spending everything! | 9/26/09 | Vanity

Posted on 09/26/2009 8:24:37 PM PDT by WVKayaker

TOPIC: Obama Tour

We have spent our great-granchildren's future in less than 9 months, and they are still planning more. How do we stop them without armed rebellion?

As taxpayers, I would think we have "standing". The problem is how to stop them within the law. On FreeRepublic we have some fine minds and some lawyers, too. Is there anything we can do MONDAY!

I don't stay in Holiday Inns, so I need help in prosecuting this crap. We must have some way to stop them from voting on taxes without reading and discussion thereof.

maybe the Scotch is talking, but I hope somebody else has a loose tongue and thoughtful mind. I hope it doesn't come to a militant end, but something needs to be done. Millions march into DC and Zero goes to Minneapolis. "I didn't know ACORN was getting all of that gum't money", but let's go get a beer, you honkeys!

Have at it. I am not posting for quantity, but a quality idea for our future. 2010 is only a light at the end of a tunnel, and the train is heading this way!

>How do we stop them without armed rebellion?

We don’t; the tree of liberty is thirsty and only the blood of tyrants will quench its thirst. Given the rampant corruption and arrogance of the Ruling Class in DC, I am of the opinion that the ONLY way out of this mess involves deaths.

Did you call for a uprising like this when Bush was president??? No?? Then it is too late. Try democracy, called elections. But you need an argument.

You’re using a straw man. Bush is not the President now, and the ‘change” we are getting is beyond description. Elections are good, but not when half the voters are dead.

Can’t say I disagree with you. Perhaps revolution never dies, it just hibernates until freedom is threatened by those who lust after power and want fealty from those they feel inferior.

CAN THE SUPREME COURT STOP THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE OBAMATHON?

Only if a common citizen brings a lawsuit. Members of SCOTUS can’t initiate a lawsuit regarding matters that they might be required to mitigate.

It’s not just DC. It is the left wing intellectual and upper class, too. Judges no longer respect the constitution. All these folks work with Marxists to overthrow the constitution. News readers and journalissts now act like Stalin’s party propagandists at the behest of their fascist CEO’s.

We need a rally to de-fund the government.

If enough of us stopped paying our taxes, they wouldn't have enough money left to come after us. Then maybe, maybe they would pay attention.

I am a plaintiff. Are you? I’m sure we can file in every US District Court. Any issue can be expedited, I think, in exigent circumstances. I am not a lawyer, but I hate to think we will have war on top of the probable coming financial catastrophe. 20% unemployment can’t be supported without cutting expense, instead of piling on this debt and s;avery to the gum’t.Tin foil stuff has become reality, black is white (I know, that’s racist!)

First Amendment “absolute” right, to petition the government for a redress of grievances.

Revenues are already heading south. a quick Google search “income tax revenue down” showed lots of states down and the IRS is wayyyyy down. Being self-employed, I have chosen not to make money right now. I may even apply for food stamps! I have already applied for early (62) retirement, and can’t wait to begin draining the swamp.

No way to have or make money that a communists Government can not get. No way to stop paying taxes that the communists cannot put you in jail and just take everything you have. The rotten communists Government has no morals and makes their own law. That is were we are headed.

And how long do you think the process of getting your claim before SCOTUS would take? Days, months, years? The average lawsuit to be previewed by SCOTUS is, on the average, five years. In the meantime, Obama just goes his marry way.

I rather believe that it starts with activism; the same kind of activism that gave us the Civil Rights movement in the 60’s.
If you are not willing to raise your voice and state your claim, then you have nothing to carp about. If you vote preemptively rather than proactively, then you have nothing to carp about. If you are not willing to demonstrate your political desires, then you have nothing to carp about.
And, ultimately, if you are not willing to stand firm in the face of liberal hypocrisy and insanity, then you really have nothing to carp about.

Call your elected officials at ALL levels and let them know that you expect them to fulfill their oaths of office and support and defend the Constitution AS IT IS WRITTEN.
Make sure your elected officials KNOW WHO YOU ARE.
And, remember, the second most important question you can ever ask a politician is, “How do you intend to pay for that program?” The MOST important question for them is, “What section of the Constitution authorizes that program?”

The libtards didn’t regain control by playing nice, and the conservatives won’t either. Alinsky’s rules work for us just as they’ve worked for the libs. USE THEM.

IF all this fails, we are in for a dark, dark period.

>>We don’t; the tree of liberty is thirsty and only the blood of tyrants will quench its thirst.<<

Only half true. The blood of tyrants is mixed with the blood of patriots.

Also, if you really believe what you just said, I would stop saying it on the internet. On the other hand, if this is one of those “barking dogs don’t bite” sort of things, carry on. But if you think this sort of site is not being monitored, think again.

I have been posting this from claire wolfe for YEARS:

“America is at that awkward stage. It’s too late to work within the system, but too early to shoot the bastards.” — opening lines of 101 Things To Do ‘Til The Revolution by Claire Wolfe

If I ever decide we have left the “awkward” stage, it will not be made apparent by my words on the internet, unless I am using a different moniker and posting on a “purchased used” laptop at a “free wi-fi” location.

Seriously, you are playing with fire. It may already be too late...unless you ARE on a second-hand laptop with an anonymous moniker at a free wi-fi location. :)

That was on the orders of the POTUS and the US Attorney General. If the present POTUS would initiate the lawsuit, I’m sure the SCOTUS would accommodate.

What makes anyone think SCOTUS would rule against it? They endorsed Wickard+ in their 6-3 Raich decision. Clarence Thomas is the only one left who dissented. AFAIK, he is the only current SC Justice who has called Wickard an error.

“On FreeRepublic we have some fine minds and some lawyers, too.”

1.) I’m not sure, but I may resemble that remark.
2.) The SCOTUS steers clear of “political questions.”
(At least that’s what they say when five of them don’t want to get involved/they like things they way they are.)

Another thought. There is a hard reset for a frozen computer operating system.

Turn the power off, and re-start it and you lose everything you've worked on, unless it has been saved. Sometimes (on my Mac), I can "Force Quit" something unresponsive, though if I wait, it will usually clear itself. It may lose something there, as well.

But, I remember most programmers put a "trap door" into their code. When used properly, that "key" can restore proper function, sometimes improving performance.

The Constitution has become a door mat. It needs to be restored, and the present court could go a long way to restoration. 2010 can bring a sweep of office, but November, 2010 is a long way away, and the election doesn't put anybody into DC until January 2011...!

I agree with you -- although this doesn't excuse Obama. In fact, the US government has been cranking up deficit spending and the national debt for decades. The worst started with old guns-and-butter himself, LBJ, but it has continued and continued through both Republican and Democrat presidencies and Congresses.

The cruel fact is that this government can no longer afford guns or butter without borrowing from the Chinese.

The Senate will be meeting again on Tuesday. Off Monday, IIRC.

Found it interesting Baccus’ statement to this effect was aired on TV. Think normal Senators need help. Drag out your signs and show up?

Slightly longer term, let’s watch Orly’s case and the one Leo Denofrio is filing in HI regarding release of information.

As dreadful as all of this legislation is, much of it takes effect down the road, giving us a bit of time.

Based on:
1. Zero’s angry appearance at the CBC this evening, which from those who watched seemed borderline incitement to violence,
2. Acorns rolling from the tree,
3. Beck connecting the dots between ‘social justice’ activists and community organizers, bleeding of our wallets and corruption writ large,
4. Zero saying one thing at the UN, then having to contradict himself the next day [when he already knew damn well about the site in Qom],
5. Zero’s Honduras was an ‘Illegal Coup’ stance, directly contradicted by the Library of Congress research types
6. Getting caught out dithering on McCrystls’ report [which was ready to roll at the end of August]- So much for ‘urgency’ for Afganistan
7. Islamic terror plots foiled- so much for all of their adherents believing in peace.

This was just THIS WEEK!

Looks like Zero is melting and fast. It’s hard to maintain a mountain of lies and incompetence and much of Zero’s urgency was to get things done before folks woke up. If all his crap had passed, many would have just given up.

What is critical, IMO, is to NOT give up. Show up at the next Tea Party, get your fax machine smokin’ with blistering indictments of the Health Care crap and let your reps know you are watching, are TO’d, and will work like a dog to have their opponents elected if they roll over and play dead.

I really think Zero and his minions are seeking something explosive so they can justify further intrusion in our lives. Don’t give it to them.

>Seriously, you are playing with fire.

Not overmuch; I am merely observing the human condition/component. That is to say, that the people in power, especially when corrupt, do not oft relinquish it voluntarily. (In fact, history has shown that it is by FAR more common for them to die still grasping the cords of power.)

>>We don’t; the tree of liberty is thirsty and only the blood of tyrants will quench its thirst.

That the blood of patriots is shed is only an inevitable side-effect; it is the practical fighting-of[/against]-evil-until-bloodshed.
