A group of pro-life black pastors are showing their support for President Obama’s health care plan, though conservative public policy experts note that such a plan remains nowhere in sight.
Bishop Charles E. Blake Sr., who heads the six million-member Church of God in Christ, and the group of black ministers endorsed the president’s controversial health care overhaul Thursday but was careful to reiterate Obama's no-abortion-funding pledge while cautioning the White House against breaking its promise.
"In accord with our commitment to Christian teaching, we wholeheartedly affirm the president's position that medical costs related to the abortion of fetuses shall not be covered by health care plans funded by this initiative," Blake said, according to a copy of his remarks, first released to the Los Angeles Times.
While the anti-abortion pastors’ endorsement could give a much-needed boost to the embattled health care bills in Congress, several prominent pro-life activists doubt the pastors will support the Obama administration for long.

Surely the real Christian way is to teach people how to live within their means, not have children until they can afford them (including healthcare) and to be self sufficient. Didn’t Jesus say something about give a man a fish . . . .

Well, since we know for a fact that the President has misrepresented the facts before, and the fact that Congress refused to add specific wording that would prevent spending taxpayer money on abortions, we must safely assume that President Obama is once again LYING!

There is NO health plan from Barack Obama. None. Nothing. Nada. Zip. Zilch. Zero.
He is still trying to find a parade to get around in front of. He has come down solidly for single-payer, for widespread competition, for “public options”, for mandated inclusions, for stripped-down economy models, but never, at any time, for a lower-cost method of providing, in fact, ENCOURAGING, general coverage. All the “persuasion” has been in the form of threats of applying punitive fees and taxation on those who either fail to participate, or have too many bells and whistles. The only “cost containments” are to demand that medical and health practitioners take smaller remuneration for their services, and work longer hours, and that pharmaceutical companies lower the prices on their ethical prescription drugs.
That is not a plan for providing “health care”, it is a prescription for disaster.
Next free car, gas, utilities, etc etc etc.

Ironic on several counts.
In the first, place, more black babies are aborted than whites. That was the original purpose of the abortion movement—to eliminate “inferior” races—and it still seems to apply.
In the second place, there is a strong analogy between abortion and slavery. Both are based on the refusal to acknowledge that certain persons are really human.
In the third place, of course, this violates the basic tenets of Christianity. The Bible makes it clear that abortion is sinful, and that human life is a gift of God.

There is a difference between “attacking” and recogizing or exposing.
One key word to nobama’s support or nobama’s voters is black. That “culture” will have a very tough time refuting that 95% or 97% of ALL blacks voted for nobama. Its not attacking to assert that at least some of his black voters were able to see what many conservative saw and voted based solely on race regardless.
