A Whiff of Water Found on the Moon

Yes, the moon is a "wetter" place than the Apollo astronauts ever could have imagined, but don't break out the beach gear just yet. Although three independent groups today announced the detection of water on the lunar surface, their find is at most a part per 1000 water in the outermost millimeter or two of still very dry lunar rock.
The discovery has potential, though. Future astronauts might conceivably wring enough water from not-completely-desiccated lunar "soil" to drink or even to fuel their rockets. Equally enticing, the water seems to be on its way to the poles, where it could be pumping up subsurface ice deposits that would be a real water bonanza.

The second generation of Americans living on the moon should have discovered this 20 years ago. Oh, to believe as I did in ‘69 again. Hope whoever gets there doesn’t read R.A. Heinlien.

The discovery has potential, though. Heh!
When bottled water is taxed, I'll go for the free stuff 250,000 miles away in my Jeep.

There is less water on the moon than there is sanity in American Government these days.
I would go as far to say that these claims are probably overblown.
I haven’t had much faith in government funded science since they started pushing that global warming scam on all of us.

Probably, but they’ll be fartin’ dust before they can suck enough water to drink out of that dust ball.

Global warming
Well H2O is a much more efficient greenhouse gas than CO2. It's Lunar Warming. Its that darn moon buggy. Sure it was battery powered, but it was a 4 wheel drive SUV and we all know those are evil. We need to start GrayPeace to save the moon from humanity. /sarc

So much BS - designed to feed NASA coffers with some HOPE!
HA! Wringing water out of moon soil would be far more costly and less productive than sending a freighter loaded with rubber water bottles to low orbit above the moon, then releasing them to float to the surface before the freighter blasts off to return for the next load.
Astronauts plus rovers then drive around and pick up the water supply. LOL
Hey - I think it has more potential than this crazy piece suggests.
