McCain is a patriot. Just not a very bright one.

There's a tale about Napolean and army recruits where he measured the applicant on the smart/stupid, passive/aggressive scales.

smart/aggressive - officer material
smart/passive - staff officer material
stupid/passive - cannon fodder
stupid/aggressive - dangerous to all, shoot them.

McCain might want to be a patriot, but I really wish he had some idea that it meant that you defend the Constitution and not tear it down. I get the feeling that the meaning of 'Patriot' to McCain is that he gets a few ticker tape parades and a statue or two, and he doesn't really care if it's the VFW or ACORN that's giving the parades and building the statues.

We can't use Napoleon's prescription for the problem, but today we could use heavy doses of Thorazine to keep the problem under control.

Lakeshark,
Bravo! I agree with everything you said. Everyone knows what she is saying (with the possible exception of Romney supporters). We are fighting two wars and Obama is cutting the military budget. China and Russia are going full speed ahead with their next generation of fighters and Obama-McCain want to scrap our next generation fighter. She is pointing out that these are stupid ideas. How can anyone disagree with what she’s saying?

Go Sarah 2012!

“She “insists” that is the way to go? Do you have a post election source for that?”

No, I don’t, do you? She has been SILENT except to give pac money to the most open border candidates, including McCain.

“Michele Bachmann is pro amnesty?”

I have no idea. I didn’t mention Michele Bachmann.

And Queen Elizabeth II wasn’t ready to be Queen of GB when her father suddenly died in 1952.

But she took over and grew into the job and 57 years later I think most people would say she has done a good job.

The advantage Sarah has is knowing she doesn’t have to assume the reins of power till Jan 20/2013. So unlike Queen Elizabeth, Sarah has 2-3 years to prepare heself for her journey ahead.

I’ll admit that Sarah is not ready to be POTUS now but in the fall of 2012 she will be ready.

You can dream up any story about Palin and amnesty, etc.
Only your problem is, they are dreams, not facts.

LOL! Now you sound like an Obama supporter! DO NOT distort my posts!

Listen, sweetheart, you can point at me and tell a big fat lie that I ‘dreamed up’ something but the ONLY thing I posted were Sarah Palin’s OWN words and her records of $$ given by her pac. So I suggest you take it up with HER!

Have you really sunk so low??? The GOP, and most of it’s worshippers and suggested candidates stink as badly as democrats.

Blame someone, anyone who puts the facts out there.
Kill the messenger! Is that all you got??

And no, I won’t waste my time reading your reply because you can’t be honest.

So you are a liar and if you can’t show that every candidate that she has given money to such as Michele Bachmann is pro “McCain/Kennedy” amnesty then that is a lie as well.

Oh, shut up. If she’s contributed to Bachmann, it’s been since I’ve seen the list. Good for her. Now how about a link?

I’m a liar because I don’t read EVERY damn line of news EVERY day?

Go to hell, fool.

So what? What has all that blather got to do with the fact that I posted PALIN’s words and you call me a liar.

Just can’t stick with the subject, can you?

THAT is why republicans are STILL the losers in every poll!

Now we find out that SarahPac has donated only to candidates who are for amnesty....like John McCain, Lindsey Graham, Orrin Hatch, etc.

I think that you are lying, at least about Michele Bachmann, I really doubt that she is pro amnesty like you claim and how about Bob McDonnell and Tennessee Rep. Marsha Blackburn, and Rob Portman you are claiming all these people are pro amnesty, I would like for you to provide the links.

Palin Tweets on Driver’s Licenses for Illegal Immigrants
By Tim Lindell

Earlier tonight, Governor Palin tweeted the following:
Rep.Lynn’s good HB3 Visa/Drivers Lic law:”If u dont have legal right to walk down AKn street, why should u have right to drive same street?”

Governor Palin is apparently quoting State Representative Bob Lynn’s newsletter, which is only available in hardcopy, not online. (We’re trying to get hold of a copy now.)

It’s referring to language in Lynn’s House Bill 3, currently before the legislature. The bill deals with issuance of state identification cards and driver’s licences; here is the language to which Palin is apparently referring:

(k) The department may not issue an identification card under (a) of this section to a person who has not presented to the department valid documentary evidence that the person is a citizen of the United States, a national of the United States, a legal permanent resident of the United States, or a conditional resident alien of the United States.

(l) Notwithstanding (k) of this section, the department may issue an identification card to a person who presents in person valid documentary evidence of

(1) a valid, unexpired nonimmigrant visa or nonimmigrant visa status for entry into the United States,
(2) a pending or approved application for asylum in the United States,
(3) entry into the United States in refugee status,
(4) a pending or approved application for temporary protected status in the United States,
(5) approved deferred action status, or
(6) a pending application for adjustment of status to legal permanent residence status or conditional resident status.

The identification card authorized under this subsection is valid only during the period of the time of the person’s authorized stay in the United States and must clearly indicate that expiration date. If the period of authorized stay is indefinite, the expiration date for the identification card is one year from the date of issue. The identification card authorized under this subsection may be renewed only on presentation of valid documentary evidence that the status by which the person qualified for the temporary identification card has been extended by the proper United States government authority. The department may by regulation specify what is valid documentary evidence under this subsection except that the department may not specify that a matricula consular card is valid documentary evidence.

A lot of folks, especially on the conservative side of the aisle, have been waiting for indications of Governor Palin’s position on illegal immigrants, now that she’s free of the McCain campaign. This statement may provide a clue.

I agree with her 100% too except it’s too late to matter now. I would have liked to have heard her saying this before the program was cut. I will say that I think the F22 should be the last generation of fighter/bombers to have a pilot sitting in the cockpit. The pilot is the only thing holding the jets back at this point (performancewise) and they become a big liability when they get shot down or otherwise incapacitated and an even bigger liability when they’re all dead. We need to start thinking about pilotless jet fighter/bombers.
