You have a rather odd sense of humor (the linked interview about illegal immigration is in Espanol).

I don't speak MEXICAN LINGO!!

English for Americans, please

Really, then why does she insist that McCain/Kennedy Amnesty is the way to go???

She "insists" that is the way to go? Do you have a post election source for that?

More clean breaks from McCain can only help her.

Agreed. This is not only a smart move, I believe it's sincere.

Mrs. Palin isn’t ready to be CinC / POTUS, nor will she be in 2012.

What would it take to convince you?

Did you notice who the chairman was?

Do you recall the story of his boat trip to Alaska and introduction to Palin?

Or, leading the conversation in a different direction, do you recall that Murdoch sold the Weekly Standard to Philip Anschutz, who bought the San Francisco Examiner in 2004. Well, Anschutz inherited a lot of money and is the richest TheoCon in the world, and spends a lot of money to subsidize the Discovery Institute.

Given the intersection of many events, and putting on a tinfoil hat, we can safely say that the Reagan coalition is definately dead and the new GOP coalition is between the NeoCons and TheoCons.

Do you think that Dick Cheney would consent to running as Palin's VP?

More clean breaks from McCain can only help her.

Especially in the area of Amnesty and secure borders.

TheoCons

If you mean social conservatives then that pretty much is the conservative movement, the rest all play a part but they are smaller in numbers, most non-social conservatives already vote democrat.

She’s more qualified than that socialist in the White House now who thinks his job is to travel around the country and the world in Air Force One just so he can run his mouth. How many days has he actually been in Washington sitting behind his desk in the oval office....?

Yeah. Bill Kristol. So what. If he’s a neocon, that’s fine. I’ve never liked him very much. Just like I don’t care for the vast, vast majority of gum flappers posing as journalists.

Kristol is about as influential as Cindy Sheehan. The WS has a circulation of 83,000. Compare that to the NRA’s magazine circulation. Or Rush’s or Savage’s listeners. Or the number of people who get In Primus.

Reagan’s national security boys are still around.

SNIP. . . it is the defense budget that has seen significant program cuts and has actually been reduced from current levels Palin said, . . SNIP

So, . . Sarah Palin has perfected time travel??

Kinda picky? What she said was clear, correct, and you try to pick at it as if it was said by some space cadet?

Ah, so.

"Current" refers to FY09, which ends 09/31/09, and they "have already been reduced" for FY10??

No, but words mean things, and that statement did not make sense to me.

Specifically, since the adjective "current" means 'happening now, prevailing, the latest version', etc., how could the defense budget have previosly been reduced from"current levels" (levels that exist today)?

If, however, "current levels" refers to the Fiscal Year 2009 Defense budget, and the defense budget that has seen significant program cuts means the FY 2010 Defense Budget (that is now being drafted and begins 10/01/09), I'm beginning to see the light.

So, if I've got it right, I did not understand that "current" refers only to FY09, and the rest of the verbiage refers to FY10.

What do you say?

The gist of the comment was that an actual cut was made in a program that was one of the few good ones for our defense.

Do you have a problem with that? If so, why don't you assail the cut and those who cut it, rather than pick at Sarah's verbiage, verbiage that is clear to most everyone?

And yes, you are picking at a gnat, a flea, a nothing, while the mastadon runs through the living room destroying everything. Save your wrath of Bambi, he's the one wrecking things.
