David Letterman is not just wearing his political views on his sleeve, as a one of his shows production executives recently pointed out. Now he's allowing his show to be used as a platform for leading Democrats to advocate action on liberal causes.

On Sept. 21, President Barack Obama appeared on CBS's "Late Show with David Letterman" and used his show to promote his health care/health insurance reform initiatives. But the very next night on Sept. 22, he had former President Bill Clinton on to publicize the efforts of the Clinton Global Initiative, one of which is to give aid to nations with rampant poverty.

“President Bill Clinton on to publicize the efforts of the Clinton Global Initiative, one of which is to give aid to nations with rampant poverty.”

So, if we don’t get the current fruitcake POtuS out of the White House soon, we got that going for us...

Fighting over how to get RID of water, maybe! Here in Central Arkansas, we are over 50 inches ABOVE NORMAL for the ENTIRE YEAR - with 3 months to go (typically fairly wet months).

The month of August, normally the driest month of the year, was over 19 inches above normal rainfall.

If this is global warming....

Well, I was getting sick and tired of “No War for Oil”. It will be a fresh change to “No War for Water”.

The funny thing is that our surface in mainly water. A warmer Earth would de facto = more clouds, and thus more rainfall. This would be especially true of the higher latitudes during the winter time.

Clinton is still trying to get a Nobel prize, but they don’t have one for ambition.

Wouldn't government prevent a water shortage by taxing/increasing taxes on water first? /s

Bill Clinton Puts Global Warming Threat Ahead of Terrorism

Marc Sheppard

Just days after 10 terrorists -- likely Islamic extremists -- butchered more than 170 people -- including 6 Americans -- in Mumbai, Bill Clinton listed terrorism second to last in a list of challenges the world faces.  Speaking at Tuesday's opening session of the Clinton Global Initiative Summit in Hong Kong [video], the former president named global warming, disease, scarcity of food, and the increasing scarcity of water before mentioning "the stark reminder we had in the last few days in India of the exposure to terrorism we all share."  And, despite the genuine miseries they've caused and the still greater they yet portend, "the global troubles in the financial markets" ranked dead last on his list.

"Norman Borlaug, the creator of the green revolution just died at 95. We still have a billion people go to bed hungry every night. There's a reason to that and it can be fixed. A billion people have no access to clean water."

The environmental nutjobs on the left absolutely HATED Norman Borlaug, precisely because he saved a BILLION people with his green revolution. The Population Bomb myth was a big fundraiser for the left and Borlaug diffused it. Plus, the wackjobs thought "mankind" deserved to lose a billion to starvation, for using so many resources.

Of course, the loons never intended to include themselves or their loved ones in the equation. They just wanted a billion less brownish people on the planet, for the children.

Exactly - 70% of the earth's surface is water. I tend to think that people would be more likely to work on cheaper desalination projects than march off to war.

Besides, if global warming were real, it would lead to an increase in atmospheric water vapor, which would mean an increase in rainfall. Along with the melting icecaps, it would lead to a staggering INCREASE in available water, not less.

But the enviroidiots never think these things through, so Bill's plan to scare them will work nicely.

It is tempting to call Bill stupid or gullible, but he is neither of those things.

So this begs the question - Why is he behind this claptrap? There has CLEARLY got to be something in it for him, to proclaim garbage like this.

I'm saying just watch, and follow the money. He is a Clinton, after all.

No one watches that sleezeball Letterman. He hasn’t been funny since 1980, when he had a short-lived morning show.

A few years back I remember Rush talking about the fight over water in this country....Its coming true and I thought he was way out in left field with this one....The envoir. nuts started it shortly after he said it...Now the government is keeping water from farmers to give it to fish....

Yep - I remember the one cruise my wife and I have been on - they sold bottle water like a valuable commodity - because some folks didn’t like the taste of “tap water” - desalinized. I had no problem with the tap water.

The "tap water" we had already being made 40 years ago on our ships tasted far better than what you get out of your house tap today, and we are talking 40 years ago!

With today's technology there should NOT be any shortage of "fresh water"!!

BTW, bottled water in many instances is nothing but tap water with a lot of plastic bottle wastes!!!
