More on the Chamber of Commerce endorsement:
I saw, for the first time in years, a political ad on TV that I liked. No smearing of the opponent. No “he said, he did”.
Bob McDonnell.
He came on stating where the opposition says he stands, straight from their ads. Then he continues by stating what he has done, and what he plans to do. No bashing, just what we want to hear.
I don’t want to vote for one guy just because the other guy says he’s bad. I want to know where the candidate himself stands.
Bravo Zulu, Bob.
(and anyway, Creigh Deeds sounds too much like GREEDY)
Was it on television or radio? His television ads are on his website.
It was on TV, on WAVY Channel 10 (Norfolk) during the morning news this morning.
Also, I didn’t see it on the website yet. I think its a new ad.

I look forward to seeing it. I like his ads, too.
Deeds, McDonnell make their pitch to Richmond business leaders

The two men who want to be Virginia’s next governor pitched their campaigns to the Richmond-area business community this morning, touting their plans to get the state’s sluggish economy moving again.
Republican Bob McDonnell and Democrat Creigh Deeds spoke of tax incentives for small businesses, energy issues and their version of a fix for the commonwealth’s economically strangling transportation woes.
McDonnell told the gathering of 100 business leaders that the state needs to increase its investment in economic development, noting that it currently spends a third of what is used in North Carolina, for example.
“The private sector is the key to turning this economy around,” McDonnell said during the forum sponsored by the Greater Richmond Chamber at J. Sargeant Reynolds Community College on Parham Road.
The Republican said he had a plan to fund transportation improvements, and that he had been endorsed by the National Federation of Independent Business.
