They have to get sufficient doses of the Vaccine on hand, first. There are some places that aren’t even doing the REGULAR Flu Vaccinations yet, because they don’t have sufficient supplies.
If the governor sighns this bill, I expect an increase in private firearms ownership.
Personally, if there is ever a flu similar to 1917, our family will get vaccinated and ( in addition) we will not leave the house, or allow any visitors, until the epidemic is over.
This is being discussed in Maine.
Representative Doug Thomas, District 24 has submitted a bill that would prohibit mandatory vaccinations.
Employees in health related fields are already being told that they won’t have a job if they don’t get vaccinated.
This is gonna cause trouble.
Much has changed since 1917/18....we take Vit D3.....we will NOT be vaccinated.

Most likely, this law will be put on hold and then struck down as unconstitutional before any trouble starts.
Way overblown, no one in either mine or my wife's families got the flu in 1918. That's over 60 people.
We know these things:
- Hussein believes you should never let a good crisis go to waste.
- Hussein is desperate to pass the healthcare bill.
- A panic/crisis over the flu would work in his favor.
So, even if this flu may be a legit concern, who can believe Hussein’s administration? He lies more than Al Gore. I can’t believe that this is an issue. Maybe I’ll be sorry later, but I’m already sorry about having to live in this country with him as president, so... whatever.
I merely told you our family’s plan.
If there is a flu epidemic of similar virulence of the 1917 epidemic, if there is a vaccine available we will be vaccinated.
Even if we are vaccinated, we will stay home, and we will not allow visitors until the epidemic is over.

In 1917 and 1918 people didn’t travel as much as they do today. Many communities were completely unaffected. Our family lived in Philadelphia, a heavily hit city. My mother’s brother died of the flu.

Have you looked at the side effect of the vaccination or are you just going on fear of the flu?
It’s gone through our area a couple of times now - no one has died from it, just had the flu, and they get over it.
I won’t be vaccinating, and I work with an elderly population, if it becomes a requirement, I guess that job is done.

My father survived 1918 ‘flu as a small child, he lived to 90+ and never had flu’ again after that!
They say anyone 60+ or so has some immunity to this new one as they likely had the Asian/Hong Kong flu’ that went around in the 50s. I know I did, I missed weeks & weeks of school.

I don’t dispute your reading of the 1917/18 flu epidemic. However, I suggest you read a history of the 1970s vaccination program that killed more people than the actual flu it was meant to prevent.
The current strain is being overblown by the media and those attempting grasp for even more power (read as don’t let a good crisis go to waste) - it is no more virulent then the annual common flu strains when looking at the mortality %s involved and rushing a vaccine that has not been proven will only create another 70’s scenario.

One of Obama’s czars suggested just that- or at least one of his mentors did- wrote a report on population control. I think it was the book “The Population Bomb” but at the moment I can’t recall the name of the Csar who is linked to the guys that wrote it.
Thousands upon thousands died in 1917 even though they followed your same proposed isolation plan (except for getting the flu shot. They died because they caught the flu just by handeling the mail that they received from the outside world! That flu was insideous and this one has the same potential if things fall into place and it mutates.

I had a second cousin, once removed, who lost both of his sisters to the flu epidemic. I think they were living in a small town in Missouri at the time.

Particularly look at the last video - in Maine - Riot control practice in the event there are riots by people trying to get the shots. When did you EVER hear of such riots?
