A Christian couple who run a hotel have been charged with a criminal offence for allegedly insulting a female Muslim guest about her beliefs.
Ben and Sharon Vogelenzang are charged with breaching Section 5 of the Public Order Act – causing harassment, alarm or distress. If convicted, they face fines of £2,500 each and a criminal record.
The Muslim woman was staying at the Bounty House Hotel in Liverpool, which is run by the Vogelenzangs, when a conversation arose between the hoteliers and their guest about her faith.
It is understood that among the topics debated was whether Jesus was a minor prophet, as Islam teaches, or whether he was the Son of God, as Christianity teaches. Among the things Mr Vogelenzang, 53, is alleged to have said is that Mohammad was a warlord. His wife, 54, is said to have stated that Muslim dress is a form of bondage for women.
The conversation, on March 20, was reported by the woman to Merseyside Police. Officers told the couple that they wanted to interview them over the incident. After being questioned on April 20, they were interrogated again three months later before being charged on July 29 with a religiously-aggravated public order offence. They appeared in court on August 14 and are now awaiting trial.
Mr and Mrs Vogelenzang do not accept that they were threatening or abusive in any way. David White, who is representing them, said that they believe they have the right to defend their religious beliefs. Their case is being funded by the Christian Institute, which has backed a number of Christians in legal disputes.

I sure hope they have a good lawyer and defence team that is well versed in Islamic scripture, and have all the nessesary Islamic books and writings to proof that they did nothing but tell the truth about Mohammad.

Islam is purposely taught orally to prevent Muslims from discovering this, and the writings of the only scholar to have recorded the history and says of Mohammad, Ibn Ishaq are forbidden for muslims to read unsupervised, so the imam can explain what it doesn't mean.
Muslims are taught to memorize their koran, reciting in a language they cannot read nor understand. Then they are told what these verses mean (which is not even close to what it really means in many cases)

It will be interesting to see whether saying aloud what is true will turn out to be a punishable offense in Britain. I'm not hopeful...

Try argue that with the libertarians out there. They instantly try tell you that it’s no different than Christianity or any other religion. And that Islam is protected under the constitution, although the founding fathers never thought Islam as a religion, nor did they mean anything but Christianity in that amendment.
This nations foundation needs to be clarified once and for all for all time, and our laws based on christian society re established and strickly enforced. Our freedoms were only meant to be God given freedoms within the boundaries of his covenant with us.
You do know what that means, don't you? Allah is a name, not a word meaning 'god'. The Arabic word for god is "ilah". Allah is a name of either a rock or Satan. You can decide that for yourself.
Originally it was the name for the black rock god, a contraction of a phrase pagan rock worshipers used- "Al ilah ta'ala". which meant "the (rock) god most high". it was later contracted to a simple name "allah".

I do. Anyone can beat them into the ground with this every time. What is being sold to the west is Islam-Lite. English people are nuts. Muslims proudly hold Mohammad as a military leader, and plenty of Muslim women say the same thing about the dress.
Because, silly, that doesn’t count.
