Christopher Kelly, a key figure in the federal corruption investigation of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, is dead, Kelly died of an apparent “aspirin overdose.” I can't help but wonder what kind of obamadose will be responsible for Rod's death before his trial date.

Why did Obama and the Democrats throw Blago under the bus, when they could've protected him? Panic?

I saw Blago on some Fox News program, the guy is slick and likable. He makes a case, the trial, if they ever get to trial is going to be a hoot for observers.

Unlike the rigged Senate impeachment trial, in a federal court, Blagojevich can have his wish. Scheduled to begin June 3, 2010, the trial may run into August or even September. This means a steady drip, drip, drip, of revelations timed perfectly with the 2010 Congressional elections.

Wouldn’t that be nice.

And is likely one side or the other will file for a delay so it could get pushed out to August.

He needs more body guards than Clinton. Thuggery is the Chicago way...I hope he doesn’t get car bombed or overloaded with aspirin.

I wonder what happens with the Ci-cago gang if Taitz really gets close to documents and a chance to examine them in Santa Ana federal court? What will they do? Their citizen army isn’t really shaping up to the job they way that they had hoped.

I love it...the OZero will be on the horns of a dilemma: vacate the prosecution and face the blowback or let it go on and face the music.

Of course the one proviso in all of this will be how much of a defense he will be allowed to use at trial. His attorney better be ready for all the “objections, not relevant to this matter” comments. In fact, the only way he can play his defense would be: They made me do it!

I still say they Fitzgerald was playing games with this when they arrested him before the recordings could reach the highest possible target: OZero. With OZero’s pension to throw individuals under the bus, good old Rahm will be wearing a commercial vehicle tread pattern by next years summer recess.

The closest similar historical incident I can think of was the prosecution of Agnew for bribery before he became vice president. OZero would have been president elect during these times so he was, as was Agnew, perhaps commiting crimes before becoming immune to legal action while in office. Vince

When the Agnew story broke the wife of a good friend who was in the White House (She was also a good friend and worked at OAS at the time) knowing that I grew up in Maryland, called me and asked if I thought the stories abouit his taking kickbacks “were true.” My response was: “In Maryland? Of course, they’re true.”
