Many of my co-workers know I'm vehemently opposed to Obama and his policies. Lately, the more liberal of my co-workers have been harping on me about how my and others' opposition to Obama and his polities is racist.
I have reached my limit and I know what I'm going to do. I'm going to do what hurts liberals the most. First, I'm going to label them because they're not used to it and then I'm going to ostracize them from my personal life as they tend to feel out of place and ostracized by society anyway.
Henceforth, anyone who calls me a racist for my political opinion is going to automatically be called a race-baiter. There will be no hesitation only a quick and blunt statement. I will not explain or elaborate. I will just state the obvious and stand by it. I won't withdraw it just like the racist label is never withdrawn.
This political war has reached a personal level now and has to be fought on that level with the liberals we know and befriend because on many other levels they may be worthwhile people. But the term "racist" needs to be treated as the gross and destructive epithet that it is and countered by raising the severity of the term race-baiter.
Establishing the term "race-baiter" as a grave and necessary epithet in itself will make the liberals pause, letting them know there is a consequence to their accusations. They need to feel as if they automatically have moral authority and they need to be treated that way.
Call them Racist over and over and see how they feel.
Tell them you voted for Alan Keyes for President like I did and see what happens (not much).

And consequently, Jimma Carter and other Democrats need to be called out as race-baiters continuously now. When speaking of Carter just make "race-baiter" part of his name.
To characterize criticism of Obama’s policies as racist is a rather vile, evil and insidious manifestation of racism: It makes race more important than the debate over the merits of policy, it assumes that the President is inferior to any of his predecessors (since he requires special protection that they did not,) and it assumes that criticism is insincere based solely on the color of the critic’s skin.
Well, that is what they are, and I'm relying on Wikipedia for a definition here.

We have to make it so that such behavior at work is grounds for being fired.

I like your idea of making race-baiting liberals pay dearly for their crimes by hounding them to death through established procedure and official channels.
File written complaints on these scum bags until they scream for mercy, or crawl back into the woodwork from whence they came.
Whenever I am called a racist, I smile and say “thank you”
When they say what? I say “you have proved my point”. “You can’t argue the facts so you revert to name calling”. “ I stopped doing that in the third grade”.
I try to do this in front of their peers so I don’t have to do it over and over. It is amazing how infrequently I am challenged after that.
I don’t know where you work but it really isn’t worth it. I let someone get me so angry once that I blew a gasket when out to lunch. I didn’t even start the conversation but I wasn’t about to be called a bigot. It didn’t cost me a thing but it is never good to let them get the best of you. They really don’t matter only except in that we ultimately contain and defeat them. Your coworkers are the symptom. The best thing you can do is offer your opinion in an intelligent fashion and if they are not receptive then just let it slide.
If however you hear them mouthing off anti American crap and they are in a position where you can make a difference you can always take advantage of anonymous reporting. When I was working at DHS I overheard some of the most atrocious stuff coming out of some of the peoples mouths. A couple talking about how they were disappointed someone hadn’t yet tried to assassinate President Bush. Another talking about how we shouldn’t be talking about attacking Iraq or Afghanistan that instead Texas and Utah should be Nuked. I didn’t even say a word.
I reported it anonymously and their asses were grilled. They had high level security clearances and should have known better. I also reported the overextended visas which were common and I reported the security breaches which were also common. It was a small thing but it made me feel much better. Working in the government and being a conservative is hard enough without setting by and watching and hearing all the crap that goes on. You don’t have to be stupid and start a personal war with your co-workers. Just keep your ears and eyes open. Liberals say the darnedest things.
The only thing I've found that works...I stare right through them during a diatribe and then go: "I'm sorry...were you saying something?"

Mention to the twenty something that the Republicans and the Democrats already had an intense discussion on race and it was the bloodiest war in American history and the Democrats lost. Be prepared for the follow up claim that the parties are reversed today.
With some research and a little preparation you should be able to put together a profound, shattering routine where you can handle a several minute exchange and destroy the no-nothing by mixing history and current sensibilities and current living figures.
Anticipate the rebuttals, (always anticipate the rebuttals) put together a one page exchange that you can study and kick some liberal tail.

Sounds like you’re OK with politics in the workplace.
I avoid it like the plague. It’s too divisive and pointless.
When anyone tries to discuss politics at work, I nip it in the bud instantly by saying “I’m not interested in politics at all, don’t really know anything about it one way or the other.”

I don’t think it will work with these slobbering rodents, but it might be worth a try.
Of course you could just ignore them and keep your mouth shut. Wait for a couple months to pass and walk into a dirty book store. Get a couple of those fall out subscription cards for gay magazines. Fill in their names and business addresses. Mail the cards in, paying for the subscriptions with cash. Be sure not to leave prints or DNA on the cards and change your writing style.
Then, just sit back and let the inner office crowd eat them alive.

I’m not in the trenches anymore but I had a bit of fun while I was there. I am so glad to be out of that world. I work longer hours now but I feel so much cleaner.
Ask these co-workers what is it that race has to do with opposing government takeovers of GM and other industries? Or the takeover of health care? Or the many other things that really have absolutely nothing to do with race?
Did your coworkers expect you to say "OK, I like these ideas" if a white POTUS did the same things as Obama?
