Two high-profile entrenched New England Democrats -- Senator Christopher Dodd of Connecticut and Representative Barney Frank of Massachusetts -- have new challengers.
Republican Peter Schiff, a broker, financial pundit, and supporter for Ron Paul, is in an increasingly crowded Republican primary for Dodd's seat.
"He inherited the seat," Schiff said of Dodd today on Fox Business Network. It's like he's living in the House of Lords."
(snip)
Meanwhile, Republican Keith Messina, a mechanical engineer, announced today he's running against Frank in the Fourth Congressional District of Massachusetts. In a statement, Messina promised a "fresh perspective," pledged to focus on jobs, and said he supports federal recognition of same-sex marriage.

Barney Frank is angling for an appointment in the Obama administration. You get the impression he thinks he’s going to lose.
A RINO because they won’t caucus for Nancy Pelosi as Speaker of the House.
I can’t say that Messina sounds like much of an improvement. Maybe he won’t run a male prostitution ring out of his DC office, but it sounds as if he will support those who do.
Wait is that the Euro Pacific Capital guy? If so, I might donate to this.
Is the rino a pervert like Frank?
Yes! I like him a hell of a lot better than the WWF wife McMahan, she donated to Rahm Emanuael.
Baby steps.
Massachusetts sounds like it got hit by some kind of infectiou alien object and they are walking around looking like humans of sorts.
For a real Conservative that is running against Barney
go to www.sholleyforcongress.us
The RINO’s in Mass told him that they will NOT support him and this is a direct quote: “You are too conservative.”.
I kid you not!
He ran in 2008 but lost. The RINO’s did not support him then
so for the 2010 elections he has a professional staff and and has started early to raise funds and get his name and policy positions out there. The RINO’s have paniced!
Support Earl Sholley for Congress!
If we are going to flip the house, we have to donate!
Even if the Republican challenger to Frank is the second coming of Olympia Snowe, everyone here should contribute as much as possible to his/her campaign.
Yeah I’d vote for Sholley (another district), got to talk to him for a bit at the Boston Tea Party this past Spring, seemed alright. Don’t know this other guy and don’t like what I’ve heard so far.
“Even if the Republican challenger to Frank is the second coming of....” Seems like there is two now, hmm that’s never happened before.
not sure about schiff on social issues.. but for financial issues there would be no more conservative voice in the senate than schiff.. he is pure free market..
Even if the Republican challenger to Frank is the second coming of....”
Destroy the corrupt SEIU/La Raza/ACORN Voter Fraud Machine, and the people of New York might actually get a REAL CHOICE in who they vote for.
Agreed. I don’t know about social issues either but I suspect he has a libertarian streak.
Schiff would be a huge upgrade.
Then he is not a Conservative. No surprise, but then again the Republican Party platform does not support same sex marriage either. In MA, it might be a slight improvement, as in anyone but the hideous Frank.
Schiff would be a great addition to the Senate, he is brilliant on the economy.
Why isn't he happy with Frank ? They share the same values. A FRESH perspective in MA is a Conservative one, not a Statist Stalinist pervert one.
Yup, Vote for him for Senator. Earl Sholley is running against Barney in the House of Represenatives.
Please see Earl’s website at: www.sholleyforcongress.us
He’d appreciate your support.
I had friended him on Facebook, and all the updates I see look great. He does have a website, so we might all check it out. He had said he would only run if he got enough in donations. Had 2 “money bombs” and raised a lot! So he is running. Hopefully, CT will wise up.
Schiff is one of the most respected analysts on the street. He predicted much of the subprime crisis and he’s been pretty vocal against the so-called stimulus package.
I hope EVERYONE in the district reads up, and votes accordingly. Unfortunately he isn’t running for my district. I hope to hear who will challenge Olver!
Please see Post #10.
Earl Sholley would appreciate your support.
Rob Simmons, “GOP” primary contender in CT, for Dodd’s seat, has a 100% rating by NARAL.
I don’t vote there but I like to listen and read transcripts from Schiff. However, any conservative would get my support.
Politics1.com actually lists RINO Keith Messina as an Independent, though Keith insists that he is a “Republican” on his website. I wish he would run as an Indy, he and Bwaney can fight over the same voter base at the local Boston gay pride events. After seeing the guy's website I understand why Keith is for gay marriage, he looks like the kinda guy Bwaney would hook up with.
At least the article mentioned the multiple GOP candidates in CT instead of the usual MSM piece pretending RINO Simmons is the only “Republican opponent” against Dodd.
Glad I can’t vote in MA or CT.. I’d want to take the voting machine with me, and walk into the OCEAN WITH IT!!!
Bad enough I also live in a SINGLE PARTY STATE... the PEOPLE”S REPUBLIC OF New York!!
Given the constituancy, it doesn’t much matter. The only way Frank will lose is in the primary, and even then, he could only lose if he turned out to be a member of that gross men who date boys group.
Earl Sholley has my full support.
I am sure he understands that in politics, full support is often temporary or a “one-time only” agreement. Permanent allies are few and it is best to minimize the number of permanent adversaries you have in your own party.
In the spirit of the so-called “gay-marriage” battle, my slogan would be:
“Earl Sholley: Support him, but don’t marry him!”
I am on the conservative side of the Peoples Republic of Washington. It does not matter what we think or say over here, Seattle carries the day.
It is frustrating to put it mildly. I guess I can always move a few miles east to God’s country, Idaho or Montana.
I think it is ALWAYS better to elect a wolf and a wolf in sheep’s clothing.
