WARSAW, Poland – Poles and Czechs voiced deep concern Friday at President Barack Obama's decision to scrap a Bush-era missile defense shield planned for their countries.
"Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back," the Polish tabloid Fakt declared on its front page.

POLES: WE'VE BEEN SOLD TO THE RUSSIANS!
DRUDGE REPORT
The Poles and Czechs should be used to it by now.
When did the system become about protecting Poland? I vaguely recall that Dubya had some arm twisting to do to get Poland to take this thing in the first place, which was intended to intercept onesie-twosie threats from “rogue regimes” (aka Iran). Then the Rooskies got all snotty about it, because apparently the rubble might bounce 10% less if they unleashed their arsenal on Europe.
HOPEnCHANGE, HOPEnCHANGE, HOPEnCHANGE
They’re right, and I think BO picked the day quite on purpose.
Oh, those Poles are so racist.

Man, the WHITE half of Obama is failing so badly.. His WHITE half is putting us all in danger.
His WHITE half knows nothing about foreign affairs.
Obama siding with Russia, that Putin is making back into a communist country that is soon to retake the mantle of USSR...that’s weird, huh? Wonder why he would do that? These poor bstrds are going to pay dearly for our stupidity, too...but pretty soon, with Bammy crashing the dollar, the UN pushing for a “Global Dollar” and Communism back on the rise, we should just argue about whether or not this about racism...
What does this move say about the US' support for all NATO members (rhetorically speaking)?
The people who voted for zero were betrayed too. They’re just too dense to realize it.
NATO has Poland’s back, like the British and French had her back in 1939.
“Betrayal! The U.S. sold us to Russia and stabbed us in the back,” the Polish tabloid Fakt declared on its front page.”
America is also getting used to being stabbed in the back by Obama.
Oops! Some are not used to is.
Even more are not going to tolerate it, either.
;-)
you ask “When did the system become about protecting Poland?”
If you read this and any number of other articles about this issue you would know that they did not view the system and what protected them. What they realize is that if the USA has a military base in their country then Russia would think twice before taking actions agaist them like they have with Georgia.
This policy reversal is a clear signal to Europe the our President and his buddies care more about big business deals with communists and the communists themselves than they do about freedom and safety for Europe (or even the USA).
Maybe Obama can open an ACORN and SEIU office in Poland to show his support for them. I’m sure the Russians would not want to tangle with those extensions of Obama’s power.
I agree, again, Obama gave back the Soviet occupied enslaved countries that Reagan freed after 50 years of slavery, for nothing.
Liberals hated Reagan for freeing Eastern Europe and showing communism a failure.
TO OUR POLISH AND CZECH ALLIES:
TRUE, PATRIOTIC, LIBERTY-LOVING AMERICANS DO NOT SUPPORT THE REMOVAL OF MISSILE DEFENSE FROM EUROPE.
You are our allies and we are sorry that a communist has deceived his way into the White House and is now attacking liberty’s best defenders.
This doesn’t say anything about bases.
The Czechs and the Poles are among the precious few nations that are actually headed the RIGHT direction....AWAY from communism. Barry can’t have that.
Gee, obama promised he’d improve our standing in the world with other nations. Little did we know, those other nations were non-allies.
Just a polite hat-tip from one Marxist to another.
And their then-allies, the Nazis.
I’m sure it’s a day to celebrate in his house.
I left Slovakia in January, after a four year stay.
At that time, they had no opinions about Obozo.
I will contact my friends and see what they think now.
I never heard any concerns about Russian aggression in
the area, but we all know how fast the dynamics can change in that part of Europe.
One of my clients was the SPP Gas company that gets all
of Slovakia’s natural gas via pipelines from Russia.
It is also a transit point for gas to other points in the EU.
Sorry, I guess I wasn’t literal enough for you. The article states:
“The Bush administration always said that the planned systemwith a radar near Prague and interceptors in northern Polandwas meant as defense against Iran. But Poles and Czechs saw it as protection against Russia, and Moscow too considered a military installation in its backyard to be a threat. “
A Military installation is a base. I’m sorry I didn’t use the exact same words as the article.
Dear Poland,
If it’s any comfort, we’ve been sold out as well.
Sincerely yours,
America
I guess this is Obama’s strategy to improve our image with other nations, but you and I are too stupid to understand it.
"His WHITE half knows nothing about foreign affairs."

From THIS post forward, I will use the SAME verbage in describing Obamassiah to the "You're a racist!!" crowd, in hopes of seeing a vein explode as they stammer to reply.
Excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You can't really hold that against the people of Poland. Most of them had *no* way of knowing the truth.Yes,it's likely that there are still a few Marxists in Poland that recognized Hussein as one of their own but the majority....nope,sorry....no way!
Hell,20% of *American* voters have only (very) recently come to figure Hussein out (70% approval to 50% approval).
Well of course they’ve been betrayed. Any honest and decent person can see that. But, wait, oh, there aren’t too people like on Capital Hill huh?
My college age daughter happened to be in Prague the night of our election. She was watching election results with friends in a bar. She said, the mood was grim! The people were depressed and subdued when it was announced Obama won. In contrast to friends of hers who were in Berlin that night, she said it was downright depressing. I told her the feeling was exactly the same at our house in California.
Thank you; Nail on the head, or at least a big part of it...
Is this the real driver behind the sellout?

Sens. Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Olympia Snow (RINO-ME) have introduced a bill to make the Commodity Futures Trading Commission the sole regulator of the carbon market created by cap-and-trade legislation.
Consider that:
The current chairman of the CFTC is Gary Gensler, formerly of Goldman Sachs.
Goldman Sachs is a part owner of the exchanges where carbon allowances would be traded.
Goldman Sachs has spent millions of dollars lobbying for cap-and-trade legislation in anticipation of making billions of dollars at the expense taxpayers and consumers.
Goldman has a special exemption from the CFTC to exceed the trading limits normally placed on commodity speculators. Not only was this exemption secret for 17 years, the CFTC recently had to ask Goldman for permission to release the letter to Congress!
Goldman Sachs employees are heavy contributors to the Democratic Party giving it over $4.4. million in the last election.
And the left vilifies Halliburton?
WE SHOULD HAMMER THESE CONNECTIONS IN BLOGS, RADIO AND TV
If I’m missing a bigger picture, help me out here ...
The list, ping
But, he said yesterday that he contacted these two countries and they are fine with it. /sarcasm off
I think they are starting to realize it now. Most of the employees in my firm voted for Obama and were very optimistic about Hope and Change. Last fall I frequently heard these folks saying: "Well he can't do any worse than Bush" or "Things can't get any worse than they are now." I personally do not express my political views too much at work - these people work for me and I want them to learn to think for themselves. I would sometimes ask them how they knew things could not get worse. I received dumbfounded expressions.
Now these same people are starting to realize Obama is really screwing up and things may get a lot worse. They are getting scared as they should. I think they are starting to feel betrayed. These Dems and independents are beginning to grumble. All this is NY State, a liberal enclave.
I suspect by springtime the Dems will turn on Hussein.
“The Poles and Czechs should be used to it by now.”
So should we.
This is payback from Obama and a message to his supporters and his overlords.
“It is dangerous to be enemy of America,
yet it is even more dangerous to be ally of America.”
(Serb Proverb)
Well- Poles, Czechs, welcome to the club.
So says the Liberal Press.
MOSCOW, Sept 17 (Reuters) - Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin will meet several top U.S. executives on Friday, including General Electric Co (GE.N) and Morgan Stanley (MS.N), the Russian government said on Thursday.I think Obama is treating the US as his personal piggy bank. I wonder what his cut of the deals amount to, and where it will be stashed.Putin's meetings with top Western executives are usually a precursor of major business deals. Earlier this year oil majors Total (TOTF.PA) and Royal Dutch/Shell (RDSa.L) announced plans to expand in Russia at meetings with Putin.
Talks with the U.S. firms follow a U.S. government decision to halt the deployment of a missile shield defence system in Europe, a move received positively by the Russian government. [ID:nLH510988]
The press service said Putin would meet David Bonderman, founding partner of one of the world's largest private equity firms, TPG [TPG.UL], and the chief executive of General Electric Co (GE.N), Jeff Immelt.
Putin will meet the executives in Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi, which is hosting an investment forum. He will also hold talks with John Mack, who is to quit as CEO of Morgan Stanley (MS.N) at the start of 2010.
