Police say as many as five masked men wearing FBI baseball caps invaded a home in the Annandale section of Fairfax County on Thursday.
Fairfax County Police say the masked men were all wearing police style tactical gear when they entered the home around 12:15 p.m. They tied up a woman and her son who was home with a toddler, and then searched the house.
The men then took off in a gold or beige Cadillac Escalade.
It's unclear what the men wanted and police wouldn't say what they took. The man and woman who were tied up inside the house received treatment at the scene from paramedics. The man, who was beaten, was later hospitalized. The toddler was uninjured.

Bizarre!
So... If the LRO’s come knocking and announce themselves at the door, should we hold our fire?
Not a good situation and if this happens enough times some cop might get killed because some homeowner thinks he isn’t a real cop.
LROs = LEO’s
obamas men?
Head’s up.
ping
“if this happens enough”
It already happens a lot. And come to think of it, if I were a crook doing home, invasions that would be my M.O..
And that's why no-knock raids should be extremely rare. If there isn't a knock on the door with warrant (or at least ID) presentation, one should be able to assume the worst. It's best for the citizens and it's best for the police.
This happens several times a year. Shoot anyone entering your home without a warrant!
Then, that's what he or she will deserve for showing up in warrior gear and beating down the door with a dozen friends.
Real cops should wear the Barney Fife uniform, drive marked cars and knock politely.
Thank you for the ping, Jet Jaguar.
I do appreciate it.
The Escalade could be the giveaway. Most FBI guys drive a stripped down Ford or Chevy; a Buick seems as upscale as they get.
The problem is, should anyone suspects they are under attack by criminal and responds with deadly force but the attackers are indeed LEOs in their ninja underoos playing Naruto, that person and his/her family is going to be killed in the follow up assault and or he/she will spend the rest of their life in prison.
There’s no doubt the entire might of the local LEOs would be dropped on the head of anyone who managed to repulse such an attack and less doubt as to the outcome.
Drugs.
From what I hear, nothing good goes on inside the Beltway in NOVA these days.
The day I see Don Knots wrestling a meth addict to the ground with a jujitsu arm lock, I will definitely start drinking again.

Perhaps that is part of the price we have to pay for freedom...
If the LEO’s started getting gunned down, perhaps they would come to their senses....
damn straight...and I really cant believe that more home invasions arent happenin this way...
maybe because impersonating a police officer is 'illegal'...
A tough choice is that of choosing to defend the lives of family members while risking imprisonment. An easy choice should be that of choosing to spare lives while risking one’s career.
People who don’t honestly consider likely consequences are those with criminal minds.
That’s why these guys are going to get caught very quickly, and get locked up for a long, long time. Identifying them and catching them will be Priority One for local, state, and federal law enforcement units in the areas. The perps will rue the day that one of them had the bright idea of wearing FBI caps for a home invasion. Plain old do-rags and they’d have gotten away scot-free.
I pulled out of the parts store in Loehman’s Plaza, and sat at the light at Graham Road.
To my left, there was a 7-11 where I spent all of the money I made in High School, on a pin ball game. It was the noise, you know. It was addictive.
A block down, on the right was the fire station - they had come to rescue us, when my mother had flipped the car, another of couple of hundred feet down on the left.
Just a little farther, Wayne Road met route 50 - so much on Wayne Road. My first girlfriend. My father's house, ironically, after he left us, just across the street.
20 feet farther down rout 50 - the place where I got attacked. I was a college kid, driving a tow truck, and I stopped to help a stranded motorist. The sucker JUMPED me. After I left the scene, the dispatcher raided my truck - “Did you just have a fight on RTE 50?”
“No. Why would you ask that?”
A bit farther on, on the left - Annandale Road. Annandale Road and Route 50, perhaps the center of my teen-age world. A block left, the Jefferson Theater, where my girlfriend worked. Just shy of that, the barber shop, where I still get my hair cut. To the right, the shopping center, where the old ice cream stand used to be, that we would walk to on a friday night. Two miles down, the Monkey Wards at Seven Corners, where the carnival always was.
But in 1978, I was sitting in the left turn lane on Route 50, waiting to turn onto Annandale Road. I was driving my folks old VW Bus, on the way home from my girlfriend's place on Wayne Road, just a mile back on the right.
An old drunk started to cross the road in front of the van - I hollared at him to stop, as I sat at the left-turn light. I wish I had hollared louder, or jumped out of the van, and tackled him, come to think of it.
He took one step past the van, and - I found his shoe, over by the cafe on the left, before the police investigation was done.
Thx JJ. The bad guys around here aren’t even pretending to be cops. One recent home invasion had a young lady knock on the door while her 3 boyfriends stacked up near the door out of sight.
Couple opened their door an bum rushed beaten an robbed. Thus far crooks pretending to be cops, utility workers, ups or young ladies needing help is the threat in my area.
If I answer the door its with a pistol in hand concealed by a few pages of newspaper. Backed up by my Rott Pups. I live in a small town an compete in 3 gun an IDPA shooting sports with a number of local, state an fed LEO’s. We have discussed such recent developments an they say they try an make their arrests away from homes these days if possible
A cops life isn’t worth the amount of_______ flushed down the drain by the suspect. Never was. Never will be.
However, to his wife and family; a cop’s life is priceless.

asked home invaders with FBI hats assault man
A 28-year-old man was attacked by several men who barged into his Annandale home, Fairfax County police said. Its unclear whether anything was taken from house on the 3400 block of Charleson Street. The suspects were wearing black utility uniforms, masks and FBI hats. They fled in a tan Cadillac Escalade. Anyone with information should call 866-411-TIPS.
sp=Masked home invaders
Arizona and maybe (if I recall correctly) New Mexico.
And we can only guess about a description.
Actually, here in Iowa, the quasi-military cops/DHS guys drive black Suburbans, Tahoes, and a number of different very nice SUVs that probably cost almost as much as my house.
lol Annandale...Hell on earth. No amount of cash could make me go back there. Probably looking for drugs or stuff to sell for drugs.
Nasty cesspool. The Princess walked by while I watched the video, and rolled her eyes when she saw it was in Annandale.

That’s a grossly excessive statement and a silly belief.
Interesting recollections. I know each of the spots you mention, precisely and vividly.
Route 50 there is Falls Church (though not in the city limits).
I moved away about ten years ago. Lots of Asians moving out from Arlington back then (I hope I don’t sound like that bothered me, I miss the ethnic stuff). They had a big problem with home invasions because they tended not to trust banks and the gangs knew it. Is that what happened here?
Hope to see you @ The JV next time I’m there!
Look 'im hup.
