"They slammed me against the hood of my car, cuffed me, threw me in the back of the car. I'm in my own driveway at this point and time."

I don’t believe this, simple as that.
Unless there is more to it, S-U-E.
Theres always more to it.
Why not?
lol. I lived in Texas when a policeman put a little kid in the back of his squad car and then shot him in the head.
Often, if not always true.
yeah cause we know nothing like this has ever happened, anywhere.
Kingwood is right down the road from me.
Nice place, fairly conservative.
But the cops are pretty serious, too.
The kid was apprehended on a grassy knoll?
‘Fuhre said he was posting the signs with his friends to win a cash prize in a video contest sponsored by an anti-socialism Web site.’
Lol. Alex Jones strikes again.
Have our local police been told to crack down on people who do not agree with our hallowed president? Has the Third Reich really begun in America?
Didn’t y’all just love that Obama “Hope” poster that served as the background for the “unbiased” talking head? Wow!
Obamas homeland security dept. has issue guidance to law enforcement that these signs are potentially a terrorist "tell", or indicate the occupants of the vehicle have ill intent toward society.
Take this information and file it in your cranium as a warning of things to come.
I believe him, because if there was more to it he would have been charged with more than criminal mischief.
About 2:15 there’s an arrow pointing to the
Obama Hope Poster in the background. The
arrow says, “This is not a hazzard?”
The charge is probably that the kid was posting posters on public property instead of his own private property. I know campaigns signs can’t be posted on public property and I presume other signs, etc. probably have to follow the same rules, right?
... look for the arrow at 2:05.
Isn’t this the same state that took all of those kids and made all of those unfounded charges then had to return all of the kids to their parents.
Oops.
from the video, it appeared that they had stuck the posters on street signs. I’m pretty sure that’s a no-no.
The point missed is that he was posting signs on property he did not own now had permission to use, probably not an offense that gets charged often but in all likely hood still an offense.
Now when they start going to garage sales that post in the same manner I will think this was not a “political” arrest
So it takes seven officers and handcuffing a suspect to write a ticket for criminal mischief in Houston?
I’d be careful about this story...we had some woman during the campaign who was jumped and cut with a knife at at ATM in Pittsburgh, claiming the assailant told her it was because she had a McCain bumper sticker. Turns out the sick ***ch did it to herself.
It’s always fun to see a dumbass hillbilly try to explain his knowlege of his First Amendment rights.
What a dumbass.
Was just making point that there was an infraction of the law, but Houston and Harris county are not always known for their dispasonate and level headed aplication of the law
I don’t believe, without much more evidence, that police “slammed” a nonresisting man onto the hood of a police cruiser for posting signs like this. Now if I’m wrong, I’m wrong, but cops in general know the repercussions of brutality, especially with something petty like this. Perhaps more will come out, but I think it’s telling that he didn’t file a complaint.
Yes.
Remember when Jessica Alba was involved in some poster foolishness in Oklahoma City? Anyway, the cops were going to charge her and her cohorts with vandalism, too.
I don't see a big deal in this.
Does anyone know if this was the Harris County Sheriff’s officers, Houston PD or a Kingwood PD group? I’m not sure if Kingwood is an incorporated city unto itself.
I hate to see that stuff and, yes, it’s everywhere.
Not sure it should be small, just because he’s the only guy to get caught.
However, if he was physically abused, it was wrong and he’s due his recourse.
I suspect in many communities it is technically a violation and “vandalism” to attach posters in many areas. Just like it is technically wrong in many areas for political signs to be put on the roadway, because it is public property. You can put it on YOUR OWN property, but not technically the property along the roadway.
Of course, when someone loses a dog and puts up a sign, no one is seriously concerned about that or going to suddenly send in SWAT.......but when it comes to politics...
As usual, the problem is often selective enforcement.
Liberals are thugs. Don’t you know that? Have you watched the ACORN goons? Have you seen the Union goons hurt conservatives?
We all know that conservatives are nazis and dangerous. I don’t know if 7 cops was enough.
Yeah, maybe the SWAT team was tied up busting up a TEA Party or at the airport to meet a group of troops coming home from Iraq. ;-)
its always awesome to see some loudmouth yankee continue to try to tell the rest of the country how to live. Where would we be without you guys? Oh yeah we would have our own country and none of this would be a problem in the first place.
Maybe you'd even built a steel mill by now
1. Are you saying that anybody not a “yankee” is a hillbilly? If so, you have no comprehension of the word. Plenty of non-hillbillies in The South.
2. That dumbass ran around and vandlised his own community with those posters. Now, your trailer may be chock full of such things, but people EVERYWHERE frown upon “tagging”, graffiti and vandalism.
3. Please continue to defend that retard. He did something stupid, then he went on TV and made stupid statements in defense of his stupidity.
LOL.
Kingwood was annexed into the city of Houston several years ago. It was a trainwreck. The residents refer to their area as “occupied Kingwood” for a reason. They were promised the moon in exchange for tax monies. The tax dollars went to the inner city while Kingwood was left twisting in the wind. What surprised me was that there were HPD in Kingwood at all and that there were 7 of them. All for some kid hanging posters? Something smells big time here.
1. No you are misunderstanding.
2. Those were light posts not regulatory signs. I am willing to be there are plenty of yard sale signs in the same places with out 7 cops showing up. you are allowed to post signs without this reaction in America.
3. He exercise his freedom. He wasn’t tagging a box car in a train yard with gang graffiti. I am not defending his intelligence but his freedom. I recommend people on here start doing the same.
It was clearly a political arrest. You can be arrested any time, any where — there are so many laws, regulations, ordinances etc. on the books it’s only a matter of finding one that can be stretched to technically fit the situation.
