Hooker actually a 20-year-old FIU journalism student
She was a down on her luck prostitute with a pimp, at least she pretended to be while working to uncover alleged wrongdoing within advocacy group ACORN, but it turns out the 20-year-old hooker is actually a South Florida pastor's daughter and an FIU undergrad. Hannah Giles quickly became the most famous journalism student at Florida International University after she stirred up quite a storm and become a conservative hero while spending her summer posing as a call girl to infiltrate the offices of ACORN. Giles became an internet sensation after hidden camera videos, showing her in scantily clad hooker gear entering ACORN offices in Baltimore, New York, Washington and San Bernadino, Calif., accompanied by James Keefe, himself dressed in outrageous pimp wear, made the rounds on news outlets the past few weeks.

In the videos, Giles and Keefe discuss their situation with ACORN workers, saying the two need help getting a house which they would like to turn into an underage brothel. The ACORN workers advise the two of illegal ways of getting around laws regarding income reporting. The hooker role is a shocking turn for Giles, whose father, Doug Giles, is senior pastor of the Clash Church in Aventura, according to the Miami Herald. Giles reportedly tried to work her undercover sting in Miami earlier this summer, but was unable to bait the local ACORN staff.
ACORN's Florida director, Stephanie Porta, told the Herald that Giles showed up at the Miami office, but that staffers advised her to visit a domestic violence shelter.
Yesterday, the national ACORN office announced that the organization was suspending key operations while they perform an independent review into the videos.

Ok, honestly, never seen here around these parts, but she looks like a pretty typical FIU student. Its a largely Cuban American student body, which are fairly conservative people. I think she'll be ok.
I am assuming she was posing as a hooker but without the pimp. Give them credit for not trying to get her an illegal loan and instead telling her to seek sanctuary.

That’s what I was thinking. Hannah said they weren’t turned away at any of the offices. I would look forward to the Miami video. Unfortunately, I don’t think they are going to release any of a little while.

I’m trying to remember what she said to Beck in explaining how she and that guy got started on this. I think she first noticed either an acorn office or acorn people and hatched the idea to investigate. So she may well have tried to give it a shot on her own. I wouldn’t assume an acorn office wouldn’t be a safe place, however quite frankly I would expect to either be turned away or not helped as much being a white person.
If you want to march on someone, march on Charles Gibson. He professes no knowledge of the growing scandal. Now wait and watch the first national piece on this be about the suit ACORN’s thugs are going to file on Giles for whatever. This is Orwell’s America. Charles Gibson needs to wake to a crowd of 100,000 people. He’s the biggest part of the problem here. He refuses to report the news.

Maybe safer than some places, but wow, who’s to say what happens when somebody catches on to the fact that they’re being set up by someone posing as a hooker? And, my understanding was that the whole point was to get incriminating video, and I think that was James doing the shooting. I surmise that the ACORN comment about referring her is a tad on the suspicious side.
I do worry about her getting her degree. I hope the people at FIU understand she is star of their program. Not that she should get special treatment, but that she should be treated fairly. They should understand and be proud it was an FIU student to do this not a UF or Columbia journalism student.

Having read many articles by Doug Giles for years, I’m sure he is as proud as a peacock of his daughter and Mr. O’Keefe and their courage and convictions.
