Embattled ACORN Orders Independent Investigation
ACORN Press (aka The Associated Press) ^ | September 16, 2009 | AP "reporters" Ben Feller and Eileen Sullivan in Washingto

(AP) An advocacy group under fire after employees were caught on camera appearing to advise a couple posing as a prostitute and pimp to lie about the woman's profession to get housing help said Wednesday it is ordering an independent investigation.

**snip**

In the film, O'Keefe and Giles enter an ACORN office in Brooklyn and O'Keefe can be heard stating that "we have a unique life situation" and asking if the pair qualify for housing help.

The ACORN housing coordinator and office administrator apparently urge the couple to lie about the woman's profession, with the housing coordinator suggesting that the woman launder the money.

And that's it. Apparently, ACORN Press "reporters" Ben Feller and Eileen Sullivan didn't feel that the child sex slavery advice and tax evasion advice given by their "fellow ACORN workers" was important enough to mention.

Of course, if this had been a Republican organization, we would have seen in screaming 20-point type:

REPUBLICANS IMPLICATED IN CHILD SEX RING AND TAX EVASION!!!

The overwhelming majority of people working in the “news media” are Democrats. They genuinely believe that ACORN is a “good” organization, and that opposition to the Obama Administration is “racist”.

I’m sure that AG Eric Holder will be happy to “investigate” and dismiss all charges as he did with the Black Panther voter intimidation case. This administration is rotten to the core.

ACORN is a “good”, actually, just a “desirous” organization because they help to accomplish the ENDS that the left wants to accomplish, they really don’t care about the means.

According to Hayek, these type of unscrupulous people are inevitably used to implement a collectivist system, because it takes a “whip” to implement such a system, and those unwilling to use that whip will be quickly replaced by those who will.

Heck the ‘ independent” panel is more leftist and partisan than Holder,’
Ok maybe not more but as least as partisan..
Anyone care to predict the findings from this “ Independent” panel?

Anything they order is meaningless... An institution of authority, say a state and federal investigation...that should mean something.

I find it a little suspicious that yesterday Bertha Lewis said the actions were “indefensible” and on the same day the White House finally came out and said the actions on the tapes were “indefensible”. I think ole Bertha has been talking to someone higher up. Hmmm, who could that be?

This Fox page has footage of the video taken close to the Border that I said would happen yesterday. See post 13 below.

Fox wrote...”In the latest video, O’Keefe asked the man if Tijuana is the best place to bring the girls to cross over into the U.S.

The man replied “yes,” because he has a lot of contacts there who can assist in bringing them across the border.”

I posted this yesterday...

How is the FBI not raiding all Acorn offices this morning?

Why are these thugs allowed the time to remove/shred documents, collaborate/create cover stories, remove incriminating evidence??!!!

I would think that with admissions of human trafficking, the FBI would be duty bound to move on this immediately.

Can anyone explain this to me?

To round out their crack team of independent investigators should add Jamie Gorelick and Sandy Berger.

Well, we're pretty sure that Baltimore state attorney Patricia Jessamy is too busy trumping up felony charges against the good guys, taking orders from her direct supervisors Bertha Lewis and Rahm Emanuel, and getting rid of her holdings in Baltimore child sex rings to avoid the appearance of a conflict of interest...

Embattled ACORN Orders Independent Investigation

It's like the democrats investigating Clinton during the Lewinsky trial. Or the 9/11 committee investigating 9/11. Oboma investigating his own birth records. Kennedy investigating Chappaquiddick! Al Gore investigating Global Warming!
What, exactly, are they suppose to prove by doing this? What good is it going to do for ACORN to investigate the Alinski cult?

We have a nationwide, criminal organization misusing federal money, but the feds can't be bothered investigating it.

There's no reason at all to pay your taxes.

We could probably get advice from ACORN on how to avoid paying taxes - AND get a little side business going...

Man, you've got that right! What have our taxes ever done FOR us? I can see supporting the military and highways for interstate commerce, but it ends there.

Yep, if anyone’s going to get the bottom of this, it’s going to be John Podesta and Andrew Stern!

We can only hope that they do in fact get involved with this, produce a ridiculous whitewash report, and then have the FBI eventually swoop in and blow the whole thing up.

It would be wonderful to see Podesta and Stern further tarred with ACORN mush.

We've seen this one before. When CBS was under fire for having launched the laughably unvetted "Texas Air National Guard Memo" October Surprise in '04, CBS simply launched an "independent" investigation for the purpose of "finding" that that partisan hit job was "not politically motivated." Snort!

What is there about ACORN that we should believe that they are CAPABLE of conducting an independent investigation?
