Michael Moore, the man of many hats - documentary filmmaker, political scientist and now, singer.
Moore has been making the rounds to promote his new movie, "Capitalism: A Love Story." On NBC's Sept. 15 "Jay Leno Show," Moore appeared and was asked what was wrong with capitalism.
"Capitalism is actually legalized greed," Moore said. "There's nothing wrong with people earning money, starting a business, selling shoes. That's not what I'm talking about. We're at a point now Jay, in this country, where the richest 1 percent, the very top 1 percent have more financial wealth than the bottom 95 percent combined."

Leno and his staff showed terrible judgment having this buffoon on their show in the first week. I was flipping around looking for something to watch last night and decided, what the heck, I’ll check out Leno’s new show. Just as a flipped on NBC, I see this worthless blob on the screen wearing a baseball cap and turned it off. I won’t likely be back.

That quote is the problem and it’s a sentiment that many Americans believe. Where in the world are they learning that we live in a democracy?
How hard is it for teachers to impart to their students that we live in a Republic, where the sovereignty resides in each individual.
Leno could have sunk Moore’s ship with that one fact; “No, Michael, we live in a Republic.”

I’m pretty sure that Leno has 9 pieces of a pie and Moore has 9 pieces of another pie. But the two sit and groan about the unfairness of it all.

You could technically do this without capitalism, but he must realize it helps. His attempt to redifine the word that stands for our entire economic system into an insult for greedy people, he must realize, will tend to convey the idea that he thinks the entire system—including money-earners, business-starters, and shoe-sellers— is evil, nasty, and greedy. But he doesn’t care. He doesn’t believe in the system any more than the bankrupt fat cats.
The idiot neglects to mention that the guy who takes the nine slices, bought the ingredients for the pie, mixed them, and baked it in an oven that he paid for.
I guess his mommy never read him the story of the “The Little Red Hen”.

Did Leno school him up at all?
Superb, well-crafted entertainment, for example, was The Steve Allen Show. Most of today's generation viewers never saw this truly funny series of programs. Entertainment in many fields has been totally dumbed down....and low expectations engender low entertainment.
I put the Jay Lame-o hours to good use by freeping during that time slot. I can read the most clever/uproarious/truly witty one-liners on this forum, and I don't have to sit through commercials.

Wait until the real producers give it up and stop producing wealth and there is no food in the markets, no clean water to drink, no coal to produce electricity, no oil in the pipelines, no shoes, clothing, bullets or i-Pods on the store shelves.
