House Democrat: If we don’t censure Joe Wilson, the KKK will ride through the countryside

Via the Blog Prof. Nothing new here — remember, James Clyburn already compared town-hall protesters to goons who attacked civil-rights marchers — but between this and Howard Kurtz’s argument this morning that it’s racist to shout at Obama about the Constitution, I think the “post-racial presidency” can be safely pronounced dead and buried.

“You lie” must be punished

But they can accuse you of being KKK domestic terrorists with impunity.

Nice level, fair playing field.

Steps to tyranny. demonize and silence the opposition.

Bobby Byrd is going to ride through the countryside in his wheelchair. I gotta see that.

Does anyone notice that everyone sitting around Wilson is NOT looking at him like he’s nuts? He said what everyone around him was merely thinking.

I think we must find out who this democrat is and make him apologize to the entire house for this kkk-race-baiting remark. /sarc

You know, now that I think about it this vote was contrived, with the intent to take the public’s eye off the ACORN scandal. Last week Pelosi said she wasn’t going to do anything to Wilson, but that changed as the ACORN scandal continued to explode.

Does this mean that “sheets” Byrd will make one last ride in his very own KKK Grand Dragon robes? Perhaps out to one of his many West Virginia landmarks named after him?

These are just ridiculous people, drunk on power. I am sorry, they are predominantly pathetic on both sides of the aisle. When are we going to wake up? The problem is not the system, the system is only a sum of its parts.

Sure seems like it. I have never seen the race card get pulled so often in my life. Well, unless, of course, a Detroit politician gets caught in a scandal.

Clyburn and Wilson, both ends of the spectrum here in SC. The democrats have no business attacking Joe. I'm already sick of them trashing South Carolina but it is really nothing new down here.

Support South Carolina, ignore the so called boycott and buy my "You Lie" stuff!

Different rules for different people. They won’t prosecute the Black Panthers for guarding a polling place but if you expose ACORN crimes, you get prosecuted.

This is how a tyranny works.

House Democrat: If we don’t censure Joe Wilson, the KKK will ride through the countryside

You’re in trouble now... ;~)

My wife won't let me use the sheets anymore, she says it ruins them when I cut holes in them for my eyes. I just don't get the same thrill from night riding without the proper sheets.

Here's a reply from a few hours ago in a more serious vein:

The latest daily tracking shows that support has fallen all the way back to pre-speech levels.

It just got a whole lot easier for Republican to defend Joe Wilson in the well of the House. One doubts if they will find the fortitude to do so-but they should.

Ultimately this is a battle which must be fought and it might as well be fought over Joe Wilson as some other proxy incident which is bound to occur again and again so long as the Republicans stand mute whenever the rats play the race card.

Unless and until the Republicans find a way to make playing the race card as politically incorrect as practicing racism, they will be kept on the run by Democrats. So timorous are Republicans over this issue that they simply cannot present a solid wall of resolution in the face of such cynicism. The charge of racism against Joe Wilson is so preposterous and devoid of proof that it presents an opportunity to seize the high ground.

It should be the goal of conservatives in America to make the Congressional Black Caucus as infamous as the Ku Klux Klan. Affirmative action should be as morally repugnant to the bulk of America as outright segregation. If Republicans cannot find a way to ascend and hold the moral high ground, eventually they will be beaten into minority party status forever as unscrupulous Hispanic leaders decide that the way to fame and profit is to make the devil's own deal with the Democrats and follow the path of the African-Americans into the race industry.

If we Fight the fight now over Joe Wilson just maybe we will not have to fight the fight again over the next Sonia Sotomayor. Until we begin to fight this fight, and to fight it openly while explicitly taking on race baiting for the reverse racism that it is, my aphorism of American politics will remain true:

All politics in America is not local, but racial.

We've all gotten used to the MSM double standard - but this is much worse. It's a double standard before the law.

Folks with Democrat Reps can call their offices and complain about their boy continuing to caucus with Johnson.

That gets to the heart of the matter ~ that it's a Democrat accusing everybody of being KKK potential. Push back hard.

Johnson doesn't have a hair anyway.

Back in January I posted the following...

“I had a guy at work tell me that electing Obama was great for race relations in this country. I told him it was the worst for a number of reasons. First, no matter what he does, blacks and whites will still view him as The Black President and expect certain views (favorable to blacks) on the issues because if it. Second, even honest, well reasoned philosophical differences and disagreements with administration policies will be viewed by blacks as racially motivated (and likely played that way by the pro Barry media). Such undeserved indignance will be viewed by center, center right as well as right leaning whites as a perpetual playing of the race card, leading to a widening of the racial divide albeit quietly, but exponentially. By the time Barry leaves office the nation’s races may be in the midst of a silent cold war, viewing the other with a level of disdain and suspicion not seen since the mid sixties. “

Even I’m amazed at how quickly they’ve played the race card. It only exposes the phonyness of their argument and their reliance on name calling to attempt to get anything through.
