President Barack Obama's senior adviser, David Axelrod, said Sunday conservative protests in Washington are not indicative of the country's mood.
Conservatives have the right to protest, Axelrod said on CBS's "Face the Nation, but "they don’t represent a mainstream view."
In early CBS excerpts from a taped "60 Minutes" interview to air Sunday night, Obama says on the 24-hour news cycle, "the loudest shrillest voices get the most attention."
"One of the things I’m trying to figure out is how can we make sure civility is interesting," Obama said.

As one who attended this event, I too am comfortable with around 500,000. I was part of the first wave that started walking down Penn. Ave. I got to the Capitol and sat on the south lawn for at least 45 minutes before working my way back to Penn Ave. As I walked back on Penn. Ave there were still thousands streaming toward the Capitol. It was amazing!!
The comments about the crowd are right on too. Though people were upset at what Obama’s government is doing, they were civil and well behaved. They also did not trash the place like other Leftist gatherings.
Lastly, the issues on the minds of the crowd were wide spread across the whole political spectrum. Deficits, loss of liberty, healthcare, ACORN, corruption, the banking crisis, abortion, guns, education, defense,. I saw it all! And some of the humor in the signs folks carried was priceless! WHich I had a picture of the one with George Washington addressing the current Congress and saying “WTF?”.

Trust me, the Dems are smarter than this. What you saw today was for media (and useful idiot) consumption.
You can get one person who hates someone praying in a public place. The ACLU comes out and just because of one or maybe 2 people thousands can’t pray in public anymore. You get a couple of million people come out against something and they brush it off like it was nothing.

So ACORN had some made up to distribute free. My guess is they might have had an “in” with CNN to make the tea party people look more extreme than they are - but didn’t get the picture. That man speaks for me. I could not attend owing to time, expense and distance. But I did put the time to good use. I spent the weekend on the firing line at the local Appleseed. Shot 236. Finally. On to Expert.

Gotta get these 59 year old bones in better shape. Based upon what transpired in DC this weekend, I think that we do not have much longer before the battle is joined. The decision to ignore or belittle us on the part of the Obamunist regime and their enablers is a mistake that will have terrible consequences. That much is clear to anyone who understands the implications of that decision.

That is my impression as well. These fools are overplaying their hand, on the tea parties, on their jamming of fascist control over the country and everyone in it, and most of all on the race card. WAY overplaying!
The folks they are slamming are half their own voters!
