There is a critical piece missing from modern jurisprudence. The horsewhip!! --------------------------- Yes. You should read the passage in the book by Laura Ingalls Wilder's book Farmer's Boy where the teacher horsewhips a whole pack of trouble makers that had been breaking up the little town school and scaring off one teacher after another by beating them up. The kids would brag that they would shut the school down and their ignorant bully father wouldn't discipline them but kept sending them to school. They never had any more trouble in the school after the teacher took care of them. (Apparently the father of Laura Ingalls Wilder's future husband taught the school teacher how to effectively use the horsewhip, he was able to crack the whip to cause it to wrap it around the legs of the bully and jerk him till he fell to the ground, repeat over & over until the bully kids ran off in terror.) Bullies never caused trouble again. Nobody in the town complained or said it was child abuse or not "politically correct".

In Colonial and post-revolutionary America, there were cases where minors were actually put to death for their crimes.

Well, in those days kids were given both a lot more freedom and a lot more responsibility at a very young age. Laura Ingalls Wilder went off to a differnt town to teach school at age 15. Many were married and raising families at age 15-16. So I’m not surprised that if they committed a crime that an adult would be punished for, they would receive the same punishment. I believe people didn’t make such a huge distinction in those days, in fact I don’t think they even used the term “teen”. You were either a child, of of the age of responsibility, not much in between.

His mother said he is such a good boy and wouldn’t do anything of the sort.

"Your prejudice is showing just a tad. "

Excuse me, 'BRO'.

Every one of us has exhibited prejudice in this case. However people who routinely practice the sin of prejudice, don't usually go around threatening their teachers with violence.

Only those who wallow in the VICTIMHOOD, do.

"Must be nice to have that kind of ‘insight’"

Just like the insight of an OBAMA Appointee.

'Only those white kids do Columbines'

Thought for the day: They don't speak Ebonics in Africa.

Those who speak Ebonics in Africa are called "retarded."

Those who speak Ebonics in America are called Doctor or Professor.

Examples: Van Jones, Cornell West, Jeremiah Wright

I personally go to the Paterson Charter School for Science and Technology. I think you are not very correct about my school. We may look like we are in gangs and other things like that, but I can assure you the majority of us are very intelligent. Please don't be so quick to judge our school because of some idiot who decided to threaten a teacher because he was bored. Our school is very educated and I believe I get a better education at my school than I would at any other school in Paterson. Another thing I would like to say is that our school isn't even really considered to be in Paterson. I would say it was on the border line of Clifton and Paterson. It is in a very quiet neighborhood where you find many Muslims. My school is a melting pot. There are many people of different ethnicities and nationalities who go to my school. Everybody gets along pretty well with one another.

In the last century **more** than 100 million people were starved, tortured, and just plain gassed or shot to death by the most intelligent and educated people of their era.

I hope they teach you in your school that intelligent and educated is not the same as moral.

Personally, I’ll vote for moral every time.
