It has all the hallmarks of the beloved telenovela: Heart-wrenching dialogue. Doors slamming amid tears. Over-the-top theatrics.

But the titillating story lines are laced with medical advice. An expecting but bickering couple is encouraged to seek prenatal care. The uncle of a boy injured in a car wreck caused by a drunk teenager learns about state-funded health insurance. A character who doesn't like her figure gets some advice from a health care adviser: Stop eating so many tamales.

"It's a soap opera. So it's got the teenager who has some substance abuse issues. We have a family who is undocumented, and we talk about what their options are. We're seeing these characters develop. It's not a boring public service announcement," said Joanne Lindsay, a spokeswoman with the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing, which administers health care programs for low-income families.(continued)

How is this different from the booklet put out by the Mexican government teaching people how to sneak in to our country and access all the benefits?

A foundation owned by a health care provider organization spends more than a million dollars on a novela to tell illegals how to get access to “free” health care courtesy of Colorado taxpayers. What’s not to like?

So I guess we should call these shows, Mexican Education 101, titled: A course for in functioning within a nanny state for dummies...We can refine each title and course somewhat if needed to compartmentalize various groups and shows.

Interesting, for being descendants of such a supposedly a great people/society, oil rich and potentially very productive society (I laugh); they function as a slave class. So when they come to the United States or have children born while visiting (again I laugh), over the years they have language barriers and other paradigm shifts such as the United States is not another Federal State of Mexico.

The solution, the Federal State of Mexico should provide 1 barrel of oil per month for each Illegal Alien of Mexican Origin and for each descendent born within the United States that has not graduated an American standardized High School to pay for the expense of their population!
