Wish I could be there too. But thank God for those of you that can and have taken up the torch of liberty and are shoving it in their ugly faces! We’ll be watching and applauding and supporting ya’ll every step of the way.

Someone needs to tell Beck this is about the people who came to Washington - not about him. The hundred thousand there are NOT just members of his audience.

Streaming C-Span, Beck on TikiLive, the Fox News video stream and keeping one eye on the Liar in Chief from the CNN stream.

I need a bigger monitor...

EAGLES UP all over the country. A great day to be an American. This huge turnout of individuals is a great indication of what the socialists will find themselves up against in the coming days. And that does not count those of us who are not there but are in agreement that America citizens are determined to take back our Republic from the socialists who now rule us. Thanks to all of those individuals and organizations who put this rally together.

Ok, I'm gonna go through the thread and start saving the pictures under a central location so I'll have them.

Someone tell me, and I'm not trying to be critical, but has Beck got off subject yet? The only reason I ask is because the last time he broadcasted during an event like this he got off-subject within 5 minutes of the beginning of his broadcast.

Other that, Comrade Kelley is reporting for duty!

Hello all. ATrueLady has been ill for some time and cannot be in D.C. However, I am watching it all from home. Don't worry about me...I will be much better soon and look forward to possibly another rally like this...around election day next year to vote out the Dem majority. I will plan to be there. I am with all of you in spirit and I was crying not only wishing I could be there but to see patriotism in its true form. It is the most beautiful thing to watch. This is what America is all about. I am sick of Obama, Pelosi and the whole bunch. Just today Obama is making another speech about healthcare. Acutally, he is just repeating what he said on TV earlier this week. Pretty sad that he hasn't an original thought or original rebuttal. He is still ignoring the people like the rest of them. What does anyone expect? When he was elected, my blood ran cold. However, we have the chance to change the direction of all this is 2010. This is why he is trying like hell to pass his social programs as soon as possible. He knows...THEY ALL KNOW the dem control is out in 2010. Acorn is finally disassociated from the Census and now the czars are hopefully in line to be investigated. Keep your faith and make the government work for you. Obama and his minions from hell have forgotten that they work for us. The difference is that this time, they are arrogant enough to say “who cares, we have a plan to destroy this country and we are going to do it no matter what”. I reckon they won't get far...there is a lot of pissed-off people out there and I am one of them. God Bless all. Free Republic is awesome!

The Tea Party movement's core purpose and motivation is opposing Tyranny and (re)affirming Liberty!

How to distinguish Liberty from Tryanny:

  Liberty "Soft" Tyranny
1 Rights are inherent in, and unalienable from, individuals Rights are granted/rescinded by the majority through the government
2 Fundamental rights are life, liberty, and property (absence of coercion) Fundamental rights are food, housing, and healthcare (absence of necessity)
3 Property is owned by individuals who make decisions as to its use, improvement, and transfer Property is owned by 'the public' with government officials making decisions as to its use, improvement, and transfer
4 Government exists to protect the rights of individuals Government exists to plan and direct the resources of society
5 Government authority is decentralized in a federal system with limited and enumerated powers Government authority is centralized in a national system with broad and necessarily intrusive powers
6 Government action is prescribed by rules fixed and announced beforehand Government action is arbitrary and at the descretion of "czars" and planning boards
7 Economic activity is driven by a large number of small entities interacting according to simple rules Economic activity is driven by a small number of large entities operating within the constraints of complex regulations
8 Effective innovation results from contrarian thinking, individual initiative, and the voluntary exchange of property Efficient implementation of government planning requires conformity of opinion, collective action, and the coerced transfer of property
9 Standards of living for the many increase permanently as they utilize improved products and services conceived by the few Standards of living for the many increase temporarily as they utilize property redistributed from the few
10 Altruism is using one's own resources in concrete acts to help specific individuals Altruism is obligating the resources of others for broad-brush programs to help mankind in the abstract

Rights exists solely as a way to fairly decide whose will shall prevail in cases where two or more people disagree. They do not exist for the purpose of enslaving one person for the benefit of another (e.g., the "right" to free medical care.)

Liberty is the right to do whatever does not infringe the rights of others. Rights empower you to help yourself, free from interference by others.

Tyranny makes you a serf to be used by the elite to further their own power. Once upon a time, the nobility used religion to convince the serfs they had to serve the nobility. Modernly, the elite use good people's feelings of altruism to convince them to enslave both themselves and their neighbors. It's basically the same con game, just using a more sophisticated hook.

Why do people think that America has the best healthcare system in the world???

That sadly is simply untrue.
