Democrats stifle Republican health care plans
The Washington Examiner ^ | September 11, 2009 | Byron York

Rep. Tom Price, the Georgia Republican who heads the House GOP Study Committee, came to President Obama's speech Wednesday night itching to make a point. Price, who also happens to be an orthopedic surgeon, has often heard the president accuse Republicans of criticizing Democratic health care proposals while having no plans of their own. He expected Obama to do the same Wednesday night.

"We knew the president would at some point say something like, 'and the other side has no ideas,' " Price says. So Price and his Republican colleagues brought with them copies of the more than 30 health care reform bills they have proposed in the House this year.

Bryon York is one of my favorite writers and this is the first I have read an article about what the Republicans did to challenge ZERO on his comments.

Thanks for posting.

It’s what he knows how to do the best.

Funny thing, in the article they have a photo of him at a high school in green bay. funny thing was was that the high school would up building a bathroom just for Obama to use while he was there. They tried hiding this fact because it costs about ten grand.

I saw the Republicans had copies of their bill in their hands. I thought it was hilarious after Obama trumpeted out the old saw that nobody had any plans to the AFL-CIO, and I would be willing to bet if he handn’t seen those copies in their hands he would’ve trumpeted it out again. It’s a good thing he didn’t, because frankly I think they’re spoiling for a fisticuff’s they’re so pixxed off at his lying!

ROFL!

Republican health reform proposals don’t get mention in the One Party Press. Just as in the old USSR, and other despotic governments.

“...this is the first I have read an article about what the Republicans did to challenge ZERO on his comments.”

Same here .. so I’m thinking a short ‘Letter to the Editor’ from all of us Freepers could let the whole country know the Dem lies by just posting all the House Bill numbers that Republicans have proposed. I’m doing that today.

H.R. 77; H.R. 109; H.R. 198; H.R. 270; H.R. 321; H.R. 464; H.R. 502; H.R. 544; H.R. 917; H.R. 1086; H.R. 1118; H.R. 1441; H.R. 1458; H.R. 1468; H.R. 1658; H.R. 1891; H.R. 2520; H.R. 2607; H.R. 2692; H.R. 2784; H.R. 2785; H.R. 2786; H.R. 2787; H.R. 3141; H.R. 3217; H.R. 3218; H.R. 3356; H.R. 3372; H.R. 3400; H.R. 3438; H.R. 3454; and H.R. 3478.

At least, people will get curious next time they hear the hear the lie.

"The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.

the president and the congress, republican OR democrat, have absolutely NO BUSINESS getting involved in healthcare

someone should bring a lawsuit before the supreme court claiming a violation of states' rights.

what next ? federal control of water ?

[[Democrats stifle Republican health care plans]]

Then WHERE ARE the republicans? Thwey shoudl be shouting out to hte press every single day that they have a better, less costly plan than obama,s plan, but that the left will NOT allow their plan to go through because of politics- the republicans hsould be hammering home i nthe news how the left is being obstructionists to a more fiscally sound plan- but hte repubs are nearly silent on this issue- NO WONDER we’re losing our party!

"Thwey shoudl be shouting out to hte press every single day"

The press won't cover any "shouting" from the Republicans, so your idea is useless.

So many conservatives still don't see the big picture when it comes to the media. They still want to think they can get a fair shake (or even a shake) from the media. Bunch of stupid conservatives.
