A Man on His Way to Bitterness
Daily Beast ^ | 9/10/09 | Tucker Carlson

Posted on 09/11/2009 6:35:01 AM PDT by AT7Saluki

Never has a president been warped by Washington quicker. At times tonight, Obama sounded like an embattled second-termer with a 35 percent approval rating. What percentage of his speech was spent lashing out at his enemies, real and imagined? Radio and cable-television pundits, George W. Bush, former Congresses, unnamed ghouls employing “scare tactics,” whose “only agenda is to stop reform at any cost”—they’re all against him, Obama said. And they’re lying. This isn’t how confident leaders speak. These are the complaints of a man on his way to bitterness. So soon?

Obama sounded like an embattled second-termer with a 35 percent approval rating.

Maybe that's because he is serving his second term first...

This is a man who has no faith in a higher power talking. None whatsoever. He can call himself a Christian, or a Muslim, but he is not speaking as a man of faith in anything except himself. And he is losing that faith.

One can only hope he doesn’t get his second (first) term. Something tells me that at this rate, he’ll hit the 30’s faster than any president in polling history—even if they do oversample Dems 3-1.

The final sentence: "Obama the candidate would have been ashamed to say it."

Obama is still campaigning and will. Obama is not ashamed to say anything. This is one serious problem with Carlson and others from the beltway. They sugar coat opinion pieces that should instead take our dear leader to the woodshed if not the unemployment lines.

Obama always was an empty suit, that wasn’t going to last long. And it seems clear to me that he isn’t particularly smart, and he strikes me as the kind of person who will not seek counsel from anyone smarter than he is.

The best we are going to get from this crowd is chi-town thug politics, unfortunately directed only at our citizens and allies, not at all at our enemies.

Like any true bully, underneath is a coward.

The irony of the polls is that some Dems won’t like him because they really aren’t Socialists and have hit their limit. Others won’t like him because he hasn’t accomplished enough of the Communist agenda.

Well, yeah ... but you forget that Obama's a narcissist: he is the higher power.

What he's discovering is that the real world is not particularly kind to narcissists who also happen to be incompetent....

Whos says Obama is not experinced? To be fair, Obama’s is quite experienced at name calling. It is just that people get a little weary of being personally insulted day-in and day-out.
