I heard a figure for the number of speeches Obama has given since elected. The number was a little hard to believe but after some checking, I believe the number is close. CBS reported that President Obama delivered his 200th speech since taking office when Obama announced his nomination for U.S. Surgeon General on July 13, 2009. At a later date, a blog site posted the number of speeches and remarks as 262. The addition of the word remarks detracts somewhat from the information I was seeking but worthwhile nothing nonetheless. The 262 number may include Obamas speeches before and after his election.
In any case, this quote from a wise Indian Chief comes to mind. It does not require many words to speak the truth. Chief Joseph (Hinmaton, Yalatkit) Nez Perce-(Nimiputimt) (???-1905).
This next observation applies to all politicians; Political language ... is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind.
President Obama was quite clear when he stated in his September 9, 2009 address to Congress, There are also those who claim that our reform effort will insure illegal immigrants. This, too, is false the reforms I'm proposing would not apply to those who are here illegally.
At this point in the Presidents speech Joe Wilson, a South Carolina Republican member of Congress shouted the words, you lie. Later that same evening Congressman Wilson apologized to President Obama and the President accepted his apology. However, it begs the question, what moved Congressman Wilson to emote such a rude outburst?
In any case, I would suggest that the socialist, liberals, and democrats who are still experiencing distress over Joe Wilsons words demand that he prove his assertion that Obama lied. The search for that answer should either satisfy or silence the liberals.
Another cogent question that relates to this issue ask if HR3200 does not apply to those who are here legally what will provide for their health care needs?
"The true hypocrite is the one who ceases to perceive his deception, the one who lies with sincerity. Andre Gide
“Did President Obama Lie?”
Is the pope catholic?
Did words come out of his mouth?
I think a more appropriate question is, “Did the jOker tell the truth?”
he lied when he took the Oath
When has he not?
Did he open his mouth?
So, no, Obama didn't lie.

The Congressional Research Service has issued their report regarding the treatment of noncitizens in H.R. 3200. There has been a lot of debate over this topic, with the president and democrats saying illegals are not covered, while those opposed to the bill saying they are. A number of loopholes in the bill, including no provisions for checking immigrations status, prove illegal immigrants can and will be covered by the bill, at the taxpayers expense. The Summary of the report is include below. If you would like to read the entire report, please click on CRS Report. August 25, 2009 Treatment of Noncitizens in H.R. 3200 Congressional Research Service Summary This report outlines the treatment of noncitizens (aliens) under H.R. 3200, Americas Affordable Health Choices Act of 2009. In particular, the report analyzes specific provisions in H.R. 3200, and whether there are eligibility requirements for noncitizens in the provisions. Within the bill, noncitizens are treated differently in several provisions. In 2008, there were approximately 37.3 million foreign-born persons in the United States. The foreign-born population was comprised of approximately 15.1 million naturalized U.S. citizens and 22.2 million noncitizens. H.R. 3200 includes an individual mandate to have health insurance, with tax penalties for noncompliance. Individuals who do not maintain acceptable health insurance coverage for themselves and their children would be required to pay an additional tax. Some individuals, including nonresident aliens, would be exempt from the individual mandate. Nonresident alien is a term under tax but not immigration law. For federal tax purposes, alien individuals are classified as resident or nonresident aliens. In general, an individual is a nonresident alien unless he or she meets the qualifications under a residency test. Thus, legal permanent residents, and noncitizens and unauthorized aliens who qualify as resident aliens (i.e., meet the substantial presence test), would be required under H.R. 3200 to have health insurance.
Like a rug
When you see his mouth moving he’s either eating or lying and I didn’t see him with any bags of pork skins last night.
Ever wondered just how they came to be called ‘politicians’?
What the root of the word ‘politician’ is?
Did he move his lips?
When doesn’t he lie?
“So again I ask, did President Lie?”
Does a bear relieve himself in the woods?
“Did Obama lie?”
Is there air?
Does the wind blow, stars shine, birds fly, fish have scales?
Yes.
The AP said he did...NY POST said he did.
Illegals will still be covered under the law. Obama knows that.
But also interesting thoughts, IRS will hand over our tax returns to make sure we are telling the truth on income and dependents on how much we can pay.
But I also heard there is no provision to prove you are legal in order to get healthcare.
So illegal care which is billions at cost to taxpayers is still going to be a problem. One other thing to is Obama plans on amnesty just in time for 2010 elections. Technically they won’t be illegal but still coming across the border in droves.
And abortion live paid for by taxpayers alive and well with Capps amendment.
Obama did lie. He needs to take care of the 40% congress graft and corruption in gvmnt HC before he moves on to takeover all of America’s care.
Are most politicians crooked?
A better question might be "Did Zero ever tell the truth about anything?" The list would be shorter.
If obama wants a nazi nation he will have to put up a fight.
Plus the SAVE act and Heller Amendment on the subject were each voted down in mark-up committees.
Every day in every way. That is all he knows. His life is a lie, his words are a lie and his actions are evil and destructive.
Did Obama lie? Do bears defecate in the woods?
As a sailor did I visit French, Italian, and Greek Whore Houses?
Illegals will be covered.
And, in any case, doctors will not be allowed to inquire into anyone’s visa status.
So, yes, he lied. Anyone paying attention knows he lied.
Now, when he said his health plan will be paid for by cutting out Medicare waste, does anyone really believe that? No?
Another lie.
When he said that there will not be a death panel, that is of course another lie. He has members of his inner circle arguing, in writing, that its necessary, he himself argues that its necessary, and in fact applying a cost-benefit analysis is a very basic part of his plan. Yes, there will be a panel deciding if you qualify for certain treatments, and your doctor won’t be on that panel and neither will you.
When he says your medicare won’t change, he’s lying, because he just said they are going to go in and take out billions worth of “waste”. What kind of “waste” is he going to find that they aren’t already finding? Your medicare is indeed going to change. He says you can keep your current coverage, but in fact he’s going to rig the game so you can’t. I don’t like my coverage, it so happens, but the fact is that again he isn’t telling the truth.
He says it won’t fund abortion, and it may not in the initial version of the bill, but you can bet that within two years it certainly will. He says doctors can keep their “conscience” exemptions, but those are already under assault all over, and the people leading the assault are Obamists, so he’s lying again. Your “conscience” exemption may not fall as part of this bill, but they will continue to attack it until its gone.
You see, they could come up with a plan that simply funded whatever the doctor did, but thats not what they’re doing. They are going to give us several volumes phone-book thick of controls on clinics and hospitals. They are going to take control, although he says they won’t.
Almost nothing he said, then, was true. Not “did he lie” but rather, was anything he said true? No, not much.
I was puking in the waste basket.
I was puking in the waste basket.
From the moment his lips started moving until the moment they stopped.
I’ll give the Presient the benefit of the doubt and say that maybe he was misinformed, that perhaps someone lied to him and he believed it. In that case, he would be wrong and he woudl be spreading false information, but not technically lying.
This is more than liberals hve ever been able to grant the previous President.
I don’t think I would put money against it.
Does a frog have a waterproof a$$?
They wouldn’t be in politics otherwise.
];-)
Politics, the easiest scam in town, get paid big bucks to do nothing but bloviate and destroy the country.
Did his lips move?
owe me a coke

Hey...great minds!!
hehe... was looking back through thread... LOTS of great minds.
We already pay for illegal aliens healthcare.
Unless his plan says proof of citizenship is required then illegals will be covered under his plan.

DENVERFormer Colorado congressman Tom Tancredo says South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson was correct when he accused President Barack Obama of lying about health benefits for illegal immigrants.
Tancredo says Wilson shouldn’t have apologized for shouting “You lie!” when Obama told Congress his health care proposals wouldn’t help illegal immigrants.
Both Wilson and Tancredo are Republicans. Tancredo says Democrats defeated GOP language that would have required the government to verify the immigration status of anyone getting benefits under the health care plan.
“Obama is a liar,” Tancredo said in a written statement.
When Tancredo ran for president in 2007, he ran television ads linking lax border security to terrorist attacks, rape and other crimes.
I’d answer YES through his teeth. The “plan” he speaks of is a figment of his imagination and the bills we have in the house and congress do everything he denies they do. It is not our side that is lying, it is him and his minions. It’s just too bad that people rely on what they are told rather than checking out the truth for themselves.
