Just heard on Savage's home radio station, 910 KNEW, that they will be dropping his 3PM to 6PM PST slot in favor of the Armstrong and Getty show!
I am interested to see what his reaction will be to this one...
First banned in Britain, and now in his own hometown???

I used to enjoy KNEW a few years ago, don’t listen to them anymore and likely won’t after this latest move.
How many people from Sodom/Gomorrah were listening to him anyway?
Doesn’t sound like a “ban,” sounds like he sucks and was replaced by a hopefully-better performer.
Perhaps one that doesn’t fake being a conservative.
Like plastic bags!
Huh? He was on the web site yesterday. Armstrong & Getty are a morning show out of Sacramento. They are still on in the morning. Weird.
The button man will be busy. However, Savage will probably take the day off.
That’s usually a good thing.
Let them fester
Correct, just a bad business decision.
Have you ever heard him talk about SF, LOL?
:-)
I’m sure there’s boatloads of other cities that would jump at the chance for Michael to come to their radio station, he’s what, #2 nationally, #3?
Let San Francisco fall into the ocean, it’s so Sodom and Gomorrah nowadays it isn’t even funny. >:-(
He’s still listed 3PM -7PM
Armstrong & Getty are already on KNEW from 6-10 am.
Of course, SF is a hell hole anyway, so who cares ;-)
****************
Quite right.
The press release compared John and Ken to Armstrong and Getty.

Ugh - I still don’t get the appeal of Armstrong and Getty.
Clowns.
He is not banned, he just doesn’t deliver the audience and advertising revenue. If you really believe in free enterprise you would understand.
The e-mail I received from KNEW said he was being replaced by the John & Ken show out of L.A. These are talented guys but I’ll just listen to Savage on KSTE out of Sacramento which can be received throughout much of the SF Bay Area.
That would be “John and Ken” (?) from 3-7 according to the website.

I’ve never seen a station jack their schedule around as often as these guys do. I think they do it at least twice every year.
I agree. It is not banning.
We lost Larry Elder here in LA but it was a programming decision.
if he gets good ratings someone will pick him up. That’s not exactly what I call a ban.
If the radio station makes a business decision it is not a ban.
++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
If the decision is a result of FCC pressure, then it is a ban.
That’s what it sounds like to me. Savage while right about a lot of things, is hard to listen to without slashing your own wrists.
None of it will stand. They can govern center or they can be thrown out, their call. The American people will not support communism, and remain entirely sovereign in the matter.
He’s still on the air???
He’s been no.1 in drive time ratings for men and women over 18 in the Bay Area for 12 to 14 years. I doubt they will do better without him.
They’re also getting a syndicated show from Bill Handel. Sounds like they’re becoming KFI North.
Amazing how few of these people can put 2 and 2 together, eh?
I’m not a big Savage fan myself. I caught him not being honest in his analysis of something (forgot what) and that soured me on him forever. But one wonders if their license was up for renewal and if Mark Lloyd was involved.
Are people going to start saying that Rush and Glenn Beck suck and don’t bring in the numbers when the same thing starts happening to them?
I think that’s the first thing I’ve read from you that I agree with! :)
Obama is looking less and less like Jimmy Carter and more and more like the Herbert Hoover of the left: the catalyst that will usher in real change and reform, this time for the better, leaving leftists in the weeds for a generation.
If God ever decides to give the world an enema, he will insert it in San Francisco.
“featuring more contemporary content and more local information.
The Savage Nation does not fit into that vision.”
That has Mark Lloyd written all over it.
A radio station can not ban anybody from a city. Good decision, bad decision, leaned-on-by somebody decision doesn’t change that it was their decision for their station. Not banned from San Francisco.
That's my take, too. I hope I'm not just seeing what I want to see, though...
Shocked, KSFO management had the two do a show or two taking calls exclusively from S.F. area and broadcast only on KSFO. John and Ken and KSFO invited S.F. to talk about it.
The biggest problem was that they WERE NOT LOCAL enough!
At the time KSFO has several local hosts -- including Savage -- and the John and Ken Show just did not measure up to the serious issues that the other KSFO hosts presented.
Again, John and Ken were not taking a local host's slot, that I recall.
He does get good ratings. I listen to him on KSTE 650 (Sacramento) and when I drive to the Bay Area it's still loud and clear.
Then, apparently you are unaware of the new ‘diversity’ rules that are being imposed by the FCC.
Unfortunately, 650 gets spotty reception in my area.
I don’t understand Michael Savage’s appeal. The other night he was very upset that he wasn’t getting the credit for bringing down Van Jones. The self-aggrandizing gets really boring. However, I can put up with it if I learn something from listening. Maybe it’s just been coincidence, but each time I’ve flipped on his show he’s either complaining about and mocking other hosts, or bloviating about his childhood or what he had for lunch.
They couldn’t pressure stations to take Glenn Beck off the air right now- it would have raised to much attention.
Gays, radical Muslims, ILLEGAL alien groups, liberals, progressives, anti-Iraq-war groups, Sacramento Bee employees, California Democrats, some KFBK management, and more worked tireless for years to get him off the air.
I know your life would be more romantic and dramatic if you were struggling hopelessly against implacable foes and odds, but the pretense is ridiculous. You are a pampered wuss upset about a pea under the mattress, while you live in epic prosperity and freedom.
