Amen! Just think how long only He was able to enjoy sights like this, and now He’s sharing some of them with us.

GORGEOUS devolve! Thank you.
I almost didn't see it as it wasn't in my pings!!

What beautiful pictures from Hubble. Amazing photoshop they do as the pictures are all shades of grey and they assign a color to each shade!

AND THEN ‘YOU’ ADD THAT EXTRA TOUCH AND MAKE THEM EVEN BETTER!

"Color in Hubble images is used to highlight interesting features of the celestial object being studied. It is added to the separate black-and-white exposures that are combined to make the final image.

Creating color images out of the original black-and-white exposures is equal parts art and science.

We use color:

• To depict how an object might look to us if our eyes were as powerful as Hubble

• To visualize features of an object that would ordinarily be invisible to the human eye

• To bring out an object's subtle details."

.

Thanks potlatch

I made a rotated 1024x768 .jpg, a .gif, a TP-BG .gif /NASA/ folder

The filesizes were pretty high

Then made a 1024x768 BLACK.jpg and tiled animated 3-frame /EP/Starz.gif over it

Then finally the Butterfly TP BG .gif (I removed all the BLACK first) was composited over it

The filesize dropped by over 2/3rds - with a 3-frame animated final .gif

I did not expect that.....

NASA has some animated .gifs on some of their webpages made using time-lapse photography over many hours and then animating it into a .gif

That is the same method I used to make some of the animated .gifs of Elvis at Vegas

Very nice potlatch -

I’ll have to look at your HTML now!

-

Ah - You checked my HTML

You put the To: devolve in a BLACK.jpg <TableBG above the big Butterfly-.gif

-

I retuned the color on one of my TV monitors

Tried using the bright yellow ‘32 Ford Deuce Coupe from American Graffiti to tune color and tint - the bright yellow made it much easier

That is the Carina Nebula. I did a bit of work on it. Have been looking at these Hubble photos since they came out, there is one other that I love called the 'Cat's Eye'.

I used my own html, did it on a website and have it saved there. The 'devolve' in the photo is just coral colored font put in the tables upper left area.

This IS the original shot of the Carina Nebula that I posted to you. It had a 'seashell' look to it, to me;

Very nice

I believe wtv-zone or Norbert has a close match of a blue-black space BG that could be easily animated

God is so AWESOME.

Yeah, but...

Here's some food for thought...

Suppose that at one time that exploding star was part of the neighborhood where life existed. All planetary bodies (if they existed) and all life forms would've been extinguished by that "awesome" power. We ourselves, if we're still around, might meet a similar fate, if not by our sun exploding, then by it's expansion. Or, we could be wiped out by a supernova occurrence within relatively close proximity of our planetary system. Either way, it would be by the "awesome" design of God. And then, some astronomer in another part of the universe will spot our expanding giant red star and will exclaim "that is some awesome sight" to behold and will probably attribute it to the awesome design from his version of "God". Who knows, we might be the remnants of the civilization which migrated to earth from that star, and in due time, we'll have to pack up and move again.

The awesome power of God can also be very devastating. But, perhaps there is an "awesomeness and beauty" to the devastation as well.

But, perhaps we just don't understand the design?
