I knew she would step down. She has to be hacked off about the plot to kill her in Africa....somewhere inside she has to wonder if Obama was behind it.

She really needs to run for governor if she intends to have a political future before she turns 80.

I'd suggest Van Jones but he may have a little trouble with the vetting...

Probably gives her a better change at the White House in 2012 and/or 2016.

Rudy really needs to oppose her.

She could probably win that job standing on her head.

It wasn't until I got to NYC last month before I heard firsthand how much the people there loathe the present governor.

Clean break from the Secretary of State position too.

I knew eventually Hillary would jump off the sinking ship known as the Obama Administration. She is no dummy, she knows a train wreck when she sees one. Hillary is going to save herself and get the heck outta there. Wait, if Hillary does resign, will the media call her a quitter?

If true, she is starting to resemble a political opportunist, similar to Asa Hutchinson — someone who runs for this office, then that office, etc.

If the people of NY are dumb enough to vote for her....

[They did for her 2nd Senate term, knowing she would run for the presidency anyway.]

As an aside, regardless of one’s views on Bill Kristol and his policy views, when he “hears” something, it usually comes to pass.

He also head that O’Connor was resigning a week or so before it happened when no one was mentioning it.

He heard back in May of 2008 that Sarah Palin would be the GOP VP when no one else was mentioning it.

I was waiting for the first concrete sign that Hillary is preparing a 2012 challenge to Obama, this is clearly that.

Bad news. If she runs, she wins. That will give her 6 years as a governor before the 2016 election. She will then be 69 which isnt too old.

Andrew Cuomo will be very p*ssed off if this is true. Then again, how about a brutal primary battle among Paterson, Cuomo and Hillary, that might pave the way for a Governor Giuliani.

Hillary is probably almost as left-wing as Obama, but she’d be less effective at getting her way, primarily because she doesn’t have the race card to play.

She has been rendered totally useless in the SOS position, in any case, and even when she does attempt to demur (for example, she actually was intially better on Honduras than was Bambi) she is either ignored, corrected or suddenly sent off to do a speaking tour of Timbuktu.

She’d be better off outta there.

Did Hillary ever retire her sizable campaign debt? I thought that was one reason for jumping on the Obama ship.

If not, I could see that being an issue, at least if she has to go up against young Cuomo in the ‘Rat primary.

"He heard back in May of 2008 that Sarah Palin would be the GOP VP when no one else was mentioning it."

He also believes the Dem health-care issue is a quickly sinking ship, to be dead before year's end. Let's hope he's right there as well.
