Obama Is Fast Losing White Voters' Support
His approval ratings with the crucial bloc have plunged since April. Strategists say the healthcare debate is largely to blame, but that's not the only reason.

Reporting from Washington - After a summer of healthcare battles and sliding approval ratings for President Obama, the White House is facing a troubling new trend: The voters losing faith in the president are the ones he had worked hardest to attract.
New surveys show steep declines in Obama's approval ratings among whites -- including Democrats and independents -- who were crucial elements of the diverse coalition that helped elect the country's first black president.
Among white Democrats, Obama’s job approval rating has dropped 11 points since his 100-days mark in April, according to surveys by the Pew Research Center for the People and the Press.
It has dropped by 9 points among white independents and whites over 50, and by 12 points among white women -- all groups that will be targeted by both parties in next year's midterm elections.
"While Obama has a lock on African Americans, his support among white voters seems to be almost in a free fall," said veteran Republican pollster Neil Newhouse.
Strategists in both parties blame Obama's decline on growing discontent with his policy agenda, particularly after a month of often-rowdy debate over his proposed healthcare overhaul, in which some conservatives accused him of socialism. Obama's ratings seem likely to rise again if he wins passage of healthcare legislation this fall.

According to Gallup, white single, unmarried, divorced, separated, or widowed women, voted “overwhelmingly” for 0!

In another episode, some conservatives have criticized a White House dinner invitation issued to the lead lawyer in the American Civil Liberties Union lawsuits that have forced the government to disclose Bush-era interrogation techniques. The lawyer was invited to an event for the Muslim holiday of Ramadan.How fitting that 0bama would celebrate the terrorists winning with his co-conspirators on Ramadan.

At this point any healthcare bill, even one that affirms the status quo will be spinned into “Change We Can Believe In” and give his ratings a boost.

Let me say, I am a dark looking Indian (from India) and I always hated this Obama guy and he never had my support to even lose it.
I bet Latino support went up because of that lame Latina who was appointed to the SCOTUS. Oh, no! That is not racism.

I haven't seen him lose one iota of support among blacks. The libs in my family still support him 100%. Haven't heard a single one of them express any doubt about Obama yet.

As soon as Ozero said he was leaving the church the MSM said, "OK...let's move on" and it didn't have time to register on most people's radar screens.
That story would have been the end of his campaign IMO had it been properly aired.

The Democrat “base”: Atheists, abortion enthusiasts, condom-throwers, Hollywood drunks, gold-chained union thugs, welfare grandmothers, Boy Scout-hating lesbians, hand-wringing college professors, parasites, losers, and goofballs.
It’s extremely disheartening to think that there were enough of the above voters to elect an empty suit who has never accomplished anything of note in his entire life aside from advancing his own political ambitions.
My dad was flipping channels during a commercial and stopped on BET (by accident I think). Anyway... he told me that there was a black comedian on, shouting to the black audience how they ‘should all stand and applaud the whiteys because they were the ones who gave us Obama’.
He quickly switched back, preferring the commercials.

Believe me, most black folks pay taxes, but they're too emotionally invested in Obama to think straight about him.
Some, like myself, had Obama's number from the get-go, but hey, I'm a conservative. I knew the guy was a Marxist phony all along.
Privately, I think that a lot of blacks are horrified at what's transpiring under his lead. There are many who still hold faith with the Democrat party, but haven't yet been turned into radical leftists. Those people are probably quietly wondering what the hell is wrong with him, and why on earth is he making such terrible moves.
I am relieved that this is finally off my chest.

Out here in the Golden State we still have white women in particular with their 0bama bumper stickers.

He’s caught between a rock and a hard place. I don’t think he’ll be able to pass anything of substance. He’s lost too much of the middle, and if he tries to appease the middle, his progressive (aka - communist) wing will bolt.
Hopefully he’ll pull (delay) the health bill, but then it’ll be crucial that we stop the cap & tax. That is a monstrosity that’s at least as bad if not worse. If we just manage to delay any major legislature into early next year when our reps start seriously thinking about the elections, then I think we’ll have stopped them for good.
Else, we have to do such a thorough housecleaning in November 2010 so as to repair the damage they did.
You have no idea how the media and government are going to cover its passage do you? It will be bigger news than the second coming of Jesus. It will be a celebration of everything that is Obama for months on end.
