‘Michael Savage was on this Van Jones story back in March.’

Yeah, but the soft-headed amongst us will still say that ‘Savage is too harsh’, ‘Savage is too extreme’, ‘Savage is off his rocker’. Bull. Savage has been speaking the blunt truth about Obama well before he was elected. He also was bold enough to speak the blunt truth about the Bush Administration when they were way off base, and sold us down the river.

But for all you mush-heads, I’m sure there’s a Bill Kristol article lying around somewhere, so have at it.

Savage went ballistic the same afternoon Van Jones’ appointment hit the newswires. He detailed Jones’ affiliation with Cop-Watch in Oakland and his marxist ideology. WND picked it up in following days, but the story gained little traction back then.

“why didnt republicans say something back in march?”

because most republicans are in it for the power and the money, just like the dems.

why didnt republicans say something back in march?

Same reason that they were silent on health care. And Obama's past. The party is spineless. They've lost their way.

Maybe, if they're lucky, they'll be smart enough to follow the public this time and get a clue as to what's really wrong with America, and what needs to be done to restore our constitutional republic.

Credit to Savage for saying it. Credit to Beck for building a large enough audience that it mattered when he said it. Hopefully we see more are we pick off these radicals one at a time and neuter the chief radical...or Radical in Chief.

>>‘Savage is too harsh’, ‘Savage is too extreme’, ‘Savage is off his rocker’.<<

I’ve listened to Savage. He is not too harsh nor too extreme.
He can’t stay on target. He’s all over the map, talking about his dog, then his boat then how brilliant he is, then someone in the government, then the dog again, then what he ate and on and on.

Beck took two weeks and POUNDED Jones. It wasn’t between bites of great seafood. Mark Levin was offended that Beck lifted from his book without credit, but now seems to be behind Beck because Beck is taking major heat.

Savage would be great if he stayed “on task”. Knowing Savage he is going to toot his own horn and say just what you did. He needs to get behind Beck as well.

I believe in giving EVERYONE who has been on this credit. ‘Personalities’ in the media realm as well as bloggers, etc. EVERYONE needs to pull together. Enough of the ‘pi$$ing contest’. This is OUR COUNTRY we’re talking about here!!!!! Not WHO gets the best ratings or sells the most books! They all need to be supporting each other, here. JMO.

WND, Breitbart and Gateway Pundit are having fun patting each other on the back today. As if Glenn Beck had nothing to do with it, or that Defendglenn website which released the first Jones video. Or FR. What a joke.

I don’t disagree with you regarding the Beck/Savage comparison. Beck has been absolutely brilliant, he has really stepped up. Savage has been doing this for a long time and he just seems so frustrated with the American people, with what they don’t recognize, with what they allow. Beck isn’t quite as burned out. They are both excellent, however. And Beck is a national hero right now.

It was odd watching the panel on Fox News Sunday give Gateway Pundit full credit. NOTHING about Beck. A FOX show!
After that, I wondered if Beck himself asked everyone to defuse the situation. He does have a family and they have been threatened already.

In a circuitous way, Savage does stay on target. His style is to weave a tapestry of seemingly unrelated things and then bring it all swirling back home. It’s old world story telling with a moral at the end.

In defense of Savage. How could you expect him to be "on target" for three full hours?
He gets riled up and carried away.....shouts and screams, makes the point and then settles down again.
He'd have a heart attact (God forbid) if he went on like that for hours!

I like his stories about his mother, his dog and his youth. I find them interesting and funny.

Michael is one of a kind!

>>In a circuitous way, Savage does stay on target.<<

You can’t do that every night.
If a listener can’t listen for the whole show, the effect is ruined.

Then it’s a box of puzzle, missing pieces.

There is no big picture.

Bull.

I’ve given him up for Mark Levin who gets just as upset, shouts and screams but stays on a subject.

He is just as brilliant and stays on target.

Savage has become impossible to listen to.

Yeah, he’s at that point where he’s not sure it makes any difference what he says or what he warns America about. He’s seen the country become so apathetic and so unaware of how serious things are. It gets frustrating, I know it does for me.

Some of us like both Savage and Levin. But, I also like the rants Savage goes off on. Call it an acquired taste if you like, chalk it up to my past having had to deal with idiots in postions of power and control over my destiny at a VERY local level (as in ‘the job’, ‘at the company’,) and some of those were ‘libruls’ in the worst sense ...

In 1994 one Dr. Michael Alan Weiner sent a demo tape out to radio stations looking for a job as a radio commentator. The title of that tape was “Immigrants and Epidemics”, and was about America's flood of illegal aliens bringing in diseases that had since been all but eradicated. He adopted the moniker “Savage” in reference to a book he read while in the South Pacific collecting botanical specimens, and went on to become a nationally syndicated talk show host. Oh, and the pedophile Bernie Ward used to flip him off and give him the Nazi salute behind the booth glass at KGO.

Savage is the real deal. He’s my favorite conservative radio host. It’s true that he’s “all over the map” but that’s just his style. He’s stated before if he talked about politics 100% of the time, three hours a day and five days a week he’s go crazy. I agree. You’ve got to have a break. I like Rush and Hannity but they are nothing more than cheerleaders for the GOP. If the GOP does something bad Savage will call them out, too. He’s a “conservative independent.”

The problem has been that MS has been treated as the black sheep of the talk radio family... Yes, all conservatives have a stake in what happens and deserve credit for making any strides against the current fascist/socialist/communist government, but we need to recognize the standard bearers who go before us and take the heat for us.. MS brought this up first, he deserves to be recognized for that.

All the radio/TV conservative hosts deserve credit. They all have different personalities and do their job accordingly. They are all heroes, IMO. We need them all; moreso, since the FCC Diversity Czar, Mark Lloyd, has plans for them, in this newly created position. Beck is in the hot seat right now and is/has been threatened - it can’t be easy. While he has fame, it’s coming at a huge price.

I have never heard Savage so enraged than over the deaths of those Oakland police officers. He exposed all the LEFTIST SCUMBAGS(including Van Jones) supporting that cop killer Mumia Abu Jamal. Savage rightly blamed these leftist appeasers for the climate in which got those cops killed. Once again Savage is spot on.

Agreed! Right now Beck NEEDS it and do hope the others rally around him. Everyone will get their turn at being recognized - there’s enough corruption to keep them all busy. Beck did an excellent job at hammering, informing, he did his homework. Even if others don’t rally behind him, we know Rush has and that is enough, IMO.

Savage was also the first prominent person in the media to recommend closing the gay bath houses in San Francisco when AIDS first hit the news, which then SF Mayor Dianne Feinstein ignored. Before then he was the darling of the Bay Area holistic/herbal medicine newspaper columns, but after that he became persona non grata, and it persists to this day.

Rush, IMO went on Beck’s show for a reason. To show that he is behind him.
The same reason why, although Mark Levin was offended that Beck lifted a quote from his book without credit, he is now backing off.

They are all seeing it. Beck has found the avenue to bring these people into the light. All the hosts are backing him. Savage doesn’t have that appeal.

I don’t have cable. FReeper Rockabyebaby turned me on to Blinkotv to watch Beck. In the two weeks I have watched, I have seen the number of viewers jump from around 700 to the show limit of 1000. I moved to TikiLive and they are at the limit too.

Beck is our biggest hope. Savage is entertainment.
