Guess who's not pleased about Van Jones middle-of-the-night-on-a-holiday-weekend resignation? Perhaps you never would have seen this one coming, but no other MSNBC "Countdown" host and provocateur Keith Olbermann himself.
Bitter and seeing red? Perhaps. In a post on the Daily Kos dated Sept. 6, Olbermann urged the half-crazed liberal Kos readers to go digging for dirt on Fox News host Glenn Beck, Beck's radio producer Stu Burguiere and Fox News president Roger Ailes. (h/t Morgen of Verum Serum)
"I don't know why I've got this phrasing in my head, but: Find everything you can about Glenn Beck, Stu Burguiere, and Roger Ailes," Olbermann wrote. "No, even now, I refuse to go all caps. No, sending me links to the last two Countdowns with my own de-constructions of his biblical vision quality Communist/Fascist/Socialist/Zimbalist art at Rockefeller Center (where, curiously, he works, Comrade) doesn't count. Nor does sending me links to specious inappropriate point-underscoring prove-you're-innocent made-up rumors."
Olbermann said he plans to put forth his formal plans to go after Beck on his Sept. 8 show.
"Tuesday we will expand this to the television audience and have a dedicated email address to accept leads, tips, contacts, on Beck, his radio producer Burguiere, and the chief of his tv enablers, Ailes (even though Ailes' power was desperately undercut when he failed to pull off his phony ‘truce' push)," Olbermann wrote.
It's not clear what Olbermann's goal is here, but it does appear he's some how trying to employ the thirteenth rule from the tactics chapter from Saul Alinsky's "Rules for Radicals" - "Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
Olbermann dedicated segments last week during two shows going after Beck's analysis of the art in NBC headquarters Rockefeller Center, in New York City.
Olberman is showing the basic liberal instinct to stifle free speech when it differs with their subversive agenda.
If Keith thought about it for a moment, he would realize it is a very, very bad idea.
Olbermann is a buffoon....

Glenn Beck is an open book. He knew they would go after him. He told them on one of his shows he has been at rock bottom before and there is nothing they can do to him as he is able to rise up from the ashes and start all over again.

There is a website about Olbermann’s very weird behavior - it’s set up by one of his former dates and open only to other victims of the jerk. I imagine they were afraid of being sued.

It makes no difference if Glenn Beck totally implodes (though I would be sorry personally). Beck has done a fantastic job here; he will be in the history books. But if it turns out that he’s not a “good” guy, or if he crashes in the future, apart from the personal tragedy, THAT DOESN’T DO ONE THING TO DE-LEGITIMATIZE THE TRUTH.
That is all.
Glenn, being a recovering alcoholic, has already faced everything in his past that was off the mark and has made or is making amends and restitution for any wrongs. I doubt whether Olbermann can say the same.
I guess it would work if Keith had more than 10 viewers but hey........
It is apples and oranges. Beck is not working for a Presidential administration, giving advise to a President or influencing agendas. Van Jones was. Let Olbermann find anything he wants, it is irrelevent.
That’s one thing that makes me reluctant to post stuff about the SRM, especially MSLSD: they get more exposure here than they do while broadcasting in many cases.
Fox also plays excerpts from other, struggliing networks. I can’t understand why—just free publicity for them.

Beck has lost a great deal in his life. He’s hit both ends of the scale. However, when you’ve literally hit the skids, you put things into perspective. It becomes more difficult to intimidate. What is the Left going to do, call him an alcoholic (he is). He also suffers from ADD (self-admitted). In my opinion, he is also bi-polar as the dickens (but highly functional BP).
The point is that Beck has done more than most to address his demons. One of his comments, which I wish he’d expand on, is “alcoholics and drug addicts are going to save this country”. I’d like to hear his “spin” on that one!
Beck knows what he is, and was. Getting the dirt on him may mean nothing at all to him as he’s owned up to to a lot. And, though he’s slightly tortured in his own skin, he seems to know himself better than most. This makes him a formidable opponent. They’ll have to do more than merely “dig the dirt” on him.
I urge everyone to write in with stories like “Glen Beck did not include 1 million on his taxes, ooops I mean Rangle” or “Glen Beck was reported to receive the nasty from someone under his desk, oops I mean Bill Clinton”:.. You can see where I am going with this. Flood his email with stories that the Democrats are doing and close with “I’m sorry it was not Glen Beck after all”!!!

The left labors under the misapprehension that the right is full of holier-than-thou people who will turn on anyone who isn’t purer than Ivory Snow (they forget about Christianity’s emphasis on redemption).
Beck already admits to being a boozer and a druggie. He doesn’t seem to try anything about his past, so I don’t know what Olbergirl expects to come up with.
Not only that but his presence has ruined Sunday Night Football for a lot of us!

Hey Keith, I heard somewhere on TV (FNC 1700) that Beck is an ALCOHOLIC and maybe a ‘Friend of Bill’ (not Clinton). Maybe you can use that ... or not you nutz.
I would love to see Beck going after this fool Olbermann. The guy is a complete moron. A weatherman/ sportscaster turned political pundit and shill for the DumcRAT party. Thankfully Olberman is on MSNBC and nobody watches his program, but the guy is the lefts favorite shill, so having him removed would be delightful.

The best thing we can do to get a piece of MSNBC’s arse is to work like beavers to defeat Cap & Trade and also Obamacare, but specifically any computerization of medical records.
GE & NBC are anticipating a multi-billion dollar windfall if either becomes law. Knowing that bloggers and the alternative media did them in will really stick in their craw.
