WEST CHESTER TWP. Thousands of people made their way to the Voice of America Park this afternoon, Sept. 5, for a Tea Party event.
It was festival-like atmosphere of patriotism, with food vendors, face-painting for kids and live music for crowd that Butler County Sheriff Richard K. Jones estimated topped out at 18,000.
People of all ages were wearing patriotic clothing in hues of red, white and blue, many carrying American flags and hand-made signs with myriad slogans.
The event drew people from all over the region, including a family from Springfield.
Laura and Andy Rosenberger of Springfield were trying out a professionally made banner stating, Obamacare no, tort reform, yes at todays rally. Laura Rosenberger plans to take the sign to the Tea Party in Washington, D.C.

Wow I am sure this will be all over the media!!! 18000 and no media coverage, but you get 10 hippies in a room in the castro district and all the alphabet letters are there. Sickening what is becoming of our country.
Yes. It was refreshing to hear an honest head count, other than the usual Lame Stream Media BS of “hundreds” of protesters.
What cracks me up is it mentions the 18,000 there and the 20 pro-Obamacare counter protesters across the street.
Perfect.
Just WOW!...very encouraging!
So proud of ya, Buckeyes! Excellent turn out.
Finally!
Good guys: 18,000
Commies : 20
LOL!
18,000! That’s one helluva turnout.
I’m sure the alphabet networks will have “film at eleven.” /sarc
Sweet.
No mainstream coverage of this, but the media will travel 75 miles to cover THREE protesters against Glenn Beck !
WOW! Good show Ohio!
The tea party model works because the left only understands massive centralized events. Its just too hard to mobilize thousands of their followers to travel to every podunk town in flyover country.
This is AWESOME how the tea party is growing and building strength.
But, but, but Olbermann said only a mob of 180 trouble makers were there. What gives? /s
Looks like the RATS are going to be on the short end of some 80-20 races in 2010
Excellent point! Guess I never thought of it that way.
We had 3 protests in Jackson Michigan. The SEIU, ACORN and OFA bussed people in for the first but not for the other two.
That has to be a record. Keep it going!
Timestax will post some pictures soon.
But, but, but Olbermann said only a mob of 180 trouble makers were there. What gives? /s

TOTUS JR couldn’t count all the zeros.
Yeah, the headlines will read: More than 2 people showed up to protest obamacare, while across the street a huge crowd of proponents of health care staged a counter rally!
Wow! And now we know why the media is silent.
I like the sign-”A new Chapter in American History, Chapter 13” Hadn’t seen that before.
outstanding!
Deb.. were you there?
WCPO has a short article which omits the numbers of people involved. How surprising.
Hypocrites.. all of them
Outstanding!

No bias here. Nope.
bunch of damned extremists.
Woohoo outstanding job
18,000!
Even though all our rallies get NO media attention, we are making a BIG difference.
This is one of the most exciting things I've been a part of in my whole life. WE, THE PEOPLE, are standing up and being counted! And it's FUN!
Keep it up guys. We have the enemy on the run!
(Thanks for the ping, JAN!)
Ohio ISN’T waking up ... it is the same 18,000 ordinary people that love freedom and liberty that have been vocal before. They/we have always been motivated. SW Ohio is predominantly conservative, EXCEPT HAMILTON county which includes CINCY (if the world needed an enema, Cincy would be place of insertion) where the bros and Negrooes have lived forever on the govt tit. And now, they want two tits.
Moving North in Ohio, starting in Dayton (almost a ghost town) and Columbus, libearalism blankets the state .. not just the Bros and Negroes on the take .. but now throw in the Union thugs that have no dseire to work. By the time you move all the way north to Cleveland, Toledo, Youngstown, Akron ... the union has a stranglehold up there ... they are not liberals, they are total communists, with the Negroe element along side.
That is why our “Republicans” look (and are) more like democrats than they do conservative ... they have that mentalitiy that conservative views cannot win. So we elect losers like DeWhiner, Voinobithc Boehner, Taft, and now that gun grabbing, spit on the 2nd ammendment guy that sided with Clintoon Kasich .. is running for governor.
Cut out the cities of dependence .. Ohio would be agreat place to live.
Even though all our rallies get NO media attention, we are making a BIG difference.
Yes we are, oWf. We need to keep the pressure on and not worry about what the enemedia does or does not report. The word is getting out in spite of them!
With Glenn Beck talking about the 9/12 March other talk show folks are beginning to come around. Had they done this for our "Support the Troops and Their Mission" rallies we may have seen a better turnout for them.

Great pics!
Great people!

In a perfect world, there wouldn’t be 36% of Cuyahoga County residents getting taxpayer funded support they don’t pay for.....
In a perfect world I wouldn’t have heard a 22 year old girl tell me the sweet part of welfare is the $600 of free food she gets a month.......
In a perfect world there would be a morning rush hour in the city of Cleveland like there was when I went to Cleveland State and had to plan for an extra long ride. Now since no one around here works anymore, if I had to, I could leave my house in Parma at 8;30 and be at work before 9........
In a perfect world 20 fall Sundays when the Browns play would just be that day’s celebration, not a reason productivity is next to zero the following 2 days cause everyone’s sobering up and calling off of work.....
In a perfect world those that pretend to lead this city and government would spend less time at their Put-In-Bay homes we paid for and more time ACTUALLY WORKING.........
In a perfect world, I’m not turning the TV on at 5AM on Monday and hearing everyone talk about NEXT WEEKEND, after everyone just sat on their behinds most of the last week. For the very few of us, like me who works evenings and weekends, it’s pretty much insulting to have to hear it.....
And finally, in a perfect world, our taxes, and costs of everything would be a whole lot less cause more people would be taking care of themselves, and not relying on government, or the few of us who still work to do it for them. But thanks to more than a quarter century of democratic control in this area, a perception of my perfect world is only a pipe dream.
The same 18,000 people showing up at the event? So what?? The word is out and it is resounding. I would love to attend these events but work gets in the way. I’m sure it’s the same way especially in the other part of the state.....
The little OOPS sign says it all!!!
