It appears the reason high level Obama appointee Van Jones has such a deep seated hatred for America has been found: He was a nerd who was bullied in school and was "always picked last" in team sports.
In an undated interview published at Collage Foundation, Jones spoke of his growing up as a nerd and how he scammed a graduate degree from Yale:
When you were younger, what were you interested in?
I was mainly interested in journalism and poetry and writing. I read a lot of comic books, James Bonda lot of good guy vs. bad guy type of stuff. I was a big 'Star Wars' fanÉI played a lot of strategy board games—I was basically a nerd.
Do you see any connection between that and the work you ended up doing?
Definitely—when I was younger I was really small and I was always picked last for Phys. Ed, sports teams and stuff. I was a bully magnet, so I grew up with a really strong hatred for bullies and people who abuse their power.

I had a professor who encouraged me to apply to Harvard and Yale [for law school], which was almost unheard of for students coming from the kind of public schools that I was coming from in the rural South. I was accepted to both places, and decided to go to Yale because Yale didn't have any grades and was smaller than Harvard. I figured, once I enroll I'm guaranteed to graduate, so I can just go and be a radical hellraiser student, and they can't do anything about it. Which is pretty much what happened.
Jones also spoke about going to undergraduate school and getting internships and scholarships based on being Black:
I went to college on a minority scholarship. All my internships were minority internships...
So there you have it. Another tyrant working out his childhood issues on America.

Van Jones is a raging, flaming homosexual with several axes to grind, not the least of which is his severely gender-conflicted self image. There is no greater perpetual victim than a black homosexual, whose only hope for any sense of self-worth is to imagine (and believe!) that the majority of people around him are cruel and villainous users.
His sociopathic penchants and deeply conflicted extreme mental disorder found him naturally drawn to the most liberal and aberrent forms of political self expression as a way to justify his otherwise useless existence.
As a gay man, he and his partner cannot bear children. As a hate-filled anti-social loser, he can fulfill no meaningfully productive role in normal society. Hey! This looks like the list of qualifications for the recently created Government “Green Czar” position. Are you sure that he’s really the “hate-filled anti-social loser”, who “can fulfill no meaningfully productive role in normal society”? Or is he just acting that way that so he can hang onto his job as President Obama’s most trusted adviser?

He was not always the dynamic, witty, confident figure he is today. Van would be the first to tell you that he started out life as a constantly sick skinny kid with a speech impediment and a limp, and had to work hard to overcome these setbacks.
He was, however, able to rise above his challenges to become one of the most well known, well liked, powerful and strategic human rights activists alive today. Marianne Manilov, a close friend and ally of Van’s, says that when she first started working with him fifteen years ago, he was extremely shy and wouldn’t lift his head from his legal books long enough to engage in conversation during their activist carpool ride. I also asked if he is ever afraid that someone will exploit his mistake and make him look bad. He says that, no, he doesn’t worry about this because he’s not so concerned with the way he’s making himself look.
