“To begin, any solution must be one built on compromise.”
Road apples.
No socialism. At all.
Not “this far and no further,” but “Let’s roll it back.”
Right back to 1950, and this time when another Tailgunner Joe tells us our institutions are rotten with America-hating commies, let’s get them out of government instead of winking.

The Dems control Congress and the WH. The only thing we have left is to scream. They can pass anything they want. This is not a debate, but the tyranny the majority party that could care less about what the people want.

Christine Todd Whitman, the obtuse governor who, on a tour of her mansion once off-handedly pointed out a bust of Trotsky and in passing noted, "That's a man named Trotsky. He was a Russian Count, you know."
Res ipsa loquitur.
Upon such depth rests the ideological underpinning of the "thoughtful" side of our party.

It is a shame that the current health care debate hardly resembles a debate rather, it has devolved into a screaming match among the fiercest partisans on both sides. It is a shame that the writer of this article does not understand that the problem with health care in this country is government intervention. It is a shame that the writer cannot connect the dots in connection with repeated implementation of failed policies by our government.
Government intervention has driven health care costs up and up. Trial lawyers, required coverage for cosmetic surgery, mental health, AIDs (a behavioral related disease), drug and alcohol abuse, abortion, sex change operations, contraceptives, and more requires all of us to pay and subsidize irresponsible behavior. Get the government out of health care; let the free enterprise system work, and we will all be better off!
