For the first time in my life, I feel sympathy ofr Sarah Palin.
Levi Johnston — you will remember him from his featured role as the father of Bristol’s baby at the Republican convention — has written an article for the new issue of Vanity Fair. It’s his take on the Palin home life, which Johnston says was “much different from what many people expect of a normal family.”
Given the fact that Johnston is a 19-year-old high school dropout whose mother was arrested last year on six felony drug counts, it is conceivable that he is not the perfect arbiter of normal families. But even if he were an Eagle Scout with a scholarship to Harvard, can you imagine anything worse than discovering your daughter’s teenage ex-boyfriend has been given a national platform to discuss his impressions of her mom’s parenting skills?

I’m trying to remember the last time I cared about the opinions or rantings of a 19 year old. Nope. Never happened.
He is harvesting fame and fortune, he gets paid to slander Sarah, he gets paid to ridicule Alaska’s lifestyle, obviously this guy was NOT meant to be a husband for Sarahs daughter.
Its shameful to even here about this guy, seems like he must have had a bad work season here in Alaska and the only way to get ahead is to be an accomplice to a tabloid syndicate on a weekly basis.

I usually steer clear of the levi the putz threads, preferring to starve them of oxygen, but this one was a shameless (is there any other way with leftists?!) artifice in order to claw at Sarah Palin.
How exquisite the agony must therefore be for her mechanism - contrasting levi the bad leaves her in the uncomfortable position of placing Sarah in the good role. But that’s not what she wants! She wants to trash her!
In the end she fails utterly to make any coherent case for anything except the fact that she is a nasty female hack with a grudge.
How appealing....not!
However, I was fascinated by his claim that she doesn’t know how to shoot a gun. Hunting is one of the very few matters in which Levi Johnston seems like a trustworthy source, and if he says she showed no familiarity with weapons, I want to know more. In fact, I think Palin should never be allowed to bring that moose stuff up again until she appears at a rifle range and gives us a demonstration.

He was campaigning hard in the waning days of the 2004 campaign in Ohio and SW Pennsylvania and needed to prove his "hunter" bonafides.
One of hi entourage had shot a couple of geese and he was holding them up to pose for a picture for a campaign brochure. He didn't have the common sense to hold them by the necks as most hunters do, but picked them up by the feet and dripped blood all over his camos.
He was quickly educated, his aides sponged the blood off his camos for the photo shoot and all was well.
Except that when the campaign photo was distributed and mailed to the thousands of targeted households in our area, we found blood spots which were missed. Somebody in his entourage had leaked the story and it only grew legs when the mailing was received.
I like to think that Soros paid to distribute a brochure which cost Kerry the election since he so narrowly won in Pennsylvania and so narrowly lost in Ohio. In fact, the local GOP office told us that our work in Westmoreland County (where he lost by a bigger than expected margin) was pivotal in forcing the RATs to defend Pennsylvania in the waning days of the campaign and pulling out resources which otherwise would have been invested in Ohio.
You are correct. Living in the same house with a teenaged daughter can be, at times, something like being locked in the trunk of a ‘57 Buick with a rabid badger. Hormones, y’know.
But, somehow, they seem to turn into sane, reasonable women some somewhere along the way.
Ain't that the truth? But if you raise them with love, care and patience, one day they grow up to be fine young ladies and the biggest thing in life to look forward to is their occasional visits back home.
I just drove our youngest daughter back to the airport yesterday morning to start her junior year in college and the house already seems empty.
This guy was NOT meant to be anywhere near ANY decent family's 16 year old daughter and that is where Sarah Palin, as a parent, failed her daughter miserably.
His mother’s a tweaker and a meth cook, for crying out loud. If he had half a brain, he wouldn’t touch the issue of motherhood with a ten foot pole. Instead, he’s giving interviews on it in national publications.
They don’t come any dumber than this kid. He deserves everything that’s coming his way (and none of it’s good).

Media bias, controlling perceptions, destroying conservatives with falsehoods, keeping up a constant drumbeat of negative stories and associations regardless of how inappropriate or how ridiculous the source as long as it serves Democrat political goals, you should look into it, it gets discussed here occasionally.
People forget that this kind of thing made Patti Davis (Reagan) and Ron Reagan rich and famous.
Patti Davis had a time where she could pump out the anti-Reagan books to great reviews and TV interviews and Ron Reagan is always available for some conservative bashing.
When the war starts, the communists are going to be shocked at how many conservative women can shoot, and how well.
I do hope that Bristol is keeping tabs on what this moron is making, child support is 20% off the top and the ignorant rantings of a high school hockey player may be the only serious money this guy ever sees.
I suggest that she and the family talk to the nice people behind the bullet proof glass at child support enforcement before he spends the kids cut of the money on hookers and booze, and wastes the rest.
