Media Malpractice: Among the many encomiums that the mainstream media showered on the late senator from Massachusetts, something was curiously missing: the link between Sen. Ted Kennedy and the KGB.
It purported to detail how in the 1984 political season Kennedy tried to enlist the aid of the Soviet regime, then headed by former KGB chief Yuri Andropov, to get President Reagan defeated.
When we first heard of this, we thought it must be a mistake. Or a hoax. But it appears to be neither. Indeed, to our knowledge, the memo written by then-KGB chief Victor Chebrikov to Andropov has never been challenged as a fake.
And what it says is simply shocking.
The memo describes a visit by former Sen. John Tunney of California to Moscow in 1983. Tunney was sent at Kennedy's behest to sound out the Soviet leadership about helping out the Democrats with the upcoming '84 general election.
As Chebrikov's memo notes, Kennedy thought Reagan had trumped the Democrats on national security especially their push for a nuclear freeze, which faltered after Reagan successfully got European leaders to deploy Pershing II missiles in Europe.

Obama Says A Baby Is A Punishment
Obama: If they make a mistake, I dont want them punished with a baby.
Dead Ted Kennedy in 1983 asking the KGB to help him submarine Reagan...if I’d have known at the time, I might have attempted to reunite the three brothers.
Maybe Obama will award Teddy a posthumous Order of Lenin.
I remember when this item was first publicized many years ago and couldn’t remember the salient facts until reading this article. Our media has been trash for many years but it has taken the Internet to expose just how evil they are. How sweet it is that Kennedy and Cronkite are gone!
PING
Conspiring with a hostile foreign power against the elected government of the United States. Treason.
Kennedy never met a Communist dictator he didn’t like.
All these people praising Ted Kennedy have brought out in stark relief the fact that we are two seperate countries occupying the same land mass.
Thanks for the ping.
Obama would have to get Vladimir Putin or Dimitri Mediviev to issue this award.
And Ted Kennedy was a crucial endorser of that undocumented Active Measure, ali-Hussein.
As the Holzers documented in Aid and Comfort: Jane Fonda in North Vietnam, there is a tradition of Leftist treason in the latter part of the Twentieth Century.
Venona showed McCarthy to have been correct.
John Kerry and Walter Cronkite helped the enemy in Vietnam.
Horowitz may recall the Rosenbergs, but we know Clinton donors C. Michael Armstrong of Hughes and Bernard L. Schwarz of Loral sent the PLA a 200-page fax in 1995 which brought their missile reliability up to lethality.
Who can forget ali-Hussein CommerceSec designate Beer Richardson who slandered one-time FReeper Nola Trulock to cover for Warhead Hacker Wen Ho Lee.
Edward Mole Kennedy, not just a murderer of one woman and millions of babies, not just the slanderer of Robert Bork, not just the drunken fornicating lyin' of the Senate, but the highest ranking traitor in the Legislative Branch of the Republic.
Now getting a richly deserved warm welcome from other heroes of the revolution.

He underwent a conversion almost unheard of, swept from the Left to the Right over the Black Panthers' murder of an innocent woman.
How much support would Daniel Ortega have if the Left acknowledged he serially sexually abused his daughter from the age of eleven?

AMERICAN THINKER.com - blog: "THE KGB, KENNEDY, AND CARTER" by James Simpson (SNIPPET: "The restrictions that Kennedy successfully put in the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act were so tight that when the FBI arrested Zacarias Moussaoui (the so-called 20th highjacker) in August 2001, they could not get permission to download his computer since FBI headquarters understood that they did not have enough evidence to get a warrant from the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court. After 9/11 when they did download his computer they found, among other interesting things, information on the air currents over New York. After 9/11 Kennedy and other demagogues in the Congress blamed the FBI and CIA for the intelligence failure.") (August 31, 2009)
According to other articles previously linked on FR, other researchers in Soviet files established previously that Sen. John Tunney was a Soviet asset -- a KGB collaborator, and perforce a traitor.
The meeting with Tunney, Sen. Kennedy, Dr. Armand Hammer, Amb. Dobrynin, and General Secretary Yuri Adropov has also been previously described, together with quotes from Kennedy's personal appeal.
Notra Trulock was a FReeper? What was his FR screen name?
I'd love to shake his hand some time, as one who went up against the Beast.
Kennedy’s had much more to do with organized crime than the KGB.
*************************EXCERPT***************************
As Chebrikov's memo notes: "Kennedy and his friends will bring about suitable steps to have representatives of the largest television companies in the USA contact Y.V. Andropov for an invitation to Moscow for the interviews. . . . The senator underlined the importance that this initiative should be seen as coming from the American side."
In short, Kennedy was offering to provide PR cover for the KGB.
Chebrikov's memo mentioned specifically Walter Cronkite and Barbara Walters as media "friends" of Kennedy who might be enlisted to help out.
Let's be clear about this: As far as we know, neither Cronkite nor Walters ever did anything on behalf of the KGB. But why would this be relayed to a senior Soviet official if Kennedy and Tunney didn't think the U.S. media giants would go along?
Again, in the end, there's no evidence Kennedy or Tunney ever actually helped the KGB. Just that they offered to. Yet this raises many troubling questions that, sadly, may never be answered.
Thanks for the pings. The left will continue to whitewash Mr. Stone.
I thank God every day for the internet.

Ping to #21, and article.
I saw him post here around that time using his name.
His book is excruciating, like watching a slow-motion tsunami come downtown.
The remarks by Richardson in his Energy role were ad hominem.
Richardson is a piece of work.
There was a massive failure of security at the lab.
It may be remembered that May 2000 the National Parks people put six persons to manage a "300-acre" controlled burn at Bandelier--when the winds were rising, the temperature was rising, the humidity was down.
The ensuing fifty thousand burning acres resulted in a week's closure of the labs (LANL) and evacuation of Los Alamos during which time FEMA regional director Buddy Young could come in and work his mouth and anything else that needed working.
The FBI "raid" on the Wen Ho Lee residence was a year or two after the suspicion was on him--and the capital paper (a nauseating Clinton-sycophant rag) described the lost agents en route as "looking like men going to a sporting event"--all they "found" during three hours was their own flashlight they lost at the beginning.
Wen Ho Lee had all the warhead codes on various disks he claims to have destroyed and despite his and his wife's reported and unreported contacts with foreign nationals nothing was ever done--except to destroy Trulock's career.
This is par for Clinton whose Armstrong and Schwartz sent the 200-page fax to the PLA in 2005 which the 2007 DOD report said "damaged national security"--all wiped clean by Clinton's 1998 waiver.
Ted and brother Bobby were very instrumental in drawing up and passing the 1965 immigration "reform" law, the one that changed the ethnic distribution of immigrants coming into the country from predominantly European origin to predominantly Asian (including Moslems), Latin American, and other Third World origin. The primary purpose of their bill, although they would never quite admit it publicly, was to give the 'Rats more new voters down the road. Another consequence was to make the US more vulnerable to sabotage from within. The new immigration wave also spurred the Left's agenda of "diversity," "multiculturalism," and "political correctness," and an increase in ethnic tensions, especially in some urban and suburban areas.
It's not hard to figure out why the MSM has seldom or ever linked the increased "Balkanization" and instability of American society to the younger Kennedy brothers, although they rightfully deserve a share of the blame.
I don't know why you are pinging me. Please remove me from the list.
FYI, I'm Chinese and prior to 1964, our treatment was abysmal. From 1880 to 1940, all chinese immigration was banned by the Chinese exclusion act. Before then, Chinese immigration was limited to men only, that way the USA could get cheap docile labor and keep "them" from breeding. During WWII, china and USA were allied against Japan and the Japanese were leafeting the chinese about the immigration exclusion so in 1942, the exclusion act was changed to allow a quota of 105 (not a misprint, one hundred and five) chinese per year to immigrate. Until 1964, it was ok to dicriminate against chinese by law, and by law it was specifically illegal in 24 states for chinese to marry another race and implicitly illegal in several more.
Ping your list to this link while you are at it.

Teddy and his brother Bobby were instrumental in drawing up and passing the 1965 immigration "reform" law----that changed the ethnic distribution of immigrants who were coming in from predominantly European origin....... to encourage predominantly Latin American, and other Third World immigration......... and Asian (including Moslems).
The primary purpose of their bill (never admitted publicly), was new Dem voters.......including illegals with stolen ID's that followed.
Another disastrous consequence: the US was more vulnerable to sabotage from within. The immigration tidal wave enabled the Left's evil agenda of "diversity," "multiculturalism," and "political correctness." Ethnic tensions in both urban and suburban areas were exacerbated.
The MSM has never linked the increased "Balkanization." and instability of American culture. to the Kennedy brothers, although they deserve a huge share of the blame.
Maybe you don’t get it. You are arguing for unlimited govt. power, unconstrained by morality or common sense as long as it “benefits Americans”.
It may not be in the not too distant future where white people’s citizenship is revoked as long as it “benefits Americans”
Dr. Hammer was also the controller of Senator Albert Gore, Sr. Over the years, Hammer poured millions into Gore's various Tennessee enterprises and personal coffers, and Gore, Sr. reciprocated by providing access to whatever Dr. Hammer needed for his bosses in the Kremlin. No fantasies here, just well documented facts.
As a result of this Soviet largesse, Al Gore, Jr. was a very rich man, even before the Carbon Footprint Trading scam.
A related Gore Ping
Yeah. That's me! I always arguing for unlimited government power.
I guess it hasn't dawned upon you that citizens are among those who are already here in my book, and so have rights here. A Chinaman living in Xian, or wherever, has no rights here, until and unless we, as represented by our government, grant them. You should read the Constitution sometime. That commerce clause also grants to the government the power to regulate commerce with foreign nations, and elsewhere the power is granted to establish uniform rules for naturalization. So far as I can see, no power was granted to revoke citizenship. Didn't you have to take a test about this stuff when you came here, or are you one of those permanent visitors?
ML/NJ
We rounded up and interned the Japanese American citizens.
I’m sure that was Ok for you.
The next step is to round up and intern the right wing “terrorists” and you and I may be on the list.
Way to change the topic! Do you take lessons from Barney Frank?

However, back in those days, they didn't just accept anybody. You had to speak English, and know how to read and write in English, and be in good health and vaccinated, be previously employed in a skill or trade, or they wouldn't let you in the country. You had to have a sponsor who was an American citizen and could vouch for your character. Once here, you were expected to follow the rules and be productive.
I am grateful and honored to be an American.
The KGB thing was awful - especially since he was publicly kissing up to Reagan. But what was worse was his high and mighty arrogance toward Clarence Thomas about a comment Thomas made about a coke can that might have had a pubic hair on it. This highhandedness from Kennedy - who killed a young women he was driving to a deserted beach. Driving from a party of 8 young women and 8 older married men who were all friends of his. He killed a woman and waited hours to get help (for himself) so no one would be able to tell he was drunk. And he treated Thomas like he was dirt. Kennedy fans must live with blinders on...
[in the 1984 political season Kennedy tried to enlist the aid of the Soviet regime, then headed by former KGB chief Yuri Andropov, to get President Reagan defeated.]
Not sure if I ever knew that. - And Gore also wheeling and dealing with the Kremlin! Why am I not surprised?
Thanks for the ping Kenny
Hammer also had at various times the executives of such malodorous acquisitions as Hooker Chemical (the Love Canal -- although in fairness it wasn't their fault that the property was later developed and containment breached) and the notorious Iowa Beef Processors (who were violating ICC and Sherman Antitrust laws all over the place, as well as getting in trouble with the Wage and Hour Division of the DoL).
Hammer died the night before he was due to make his long-deferred bar mitzvah. I guess God had had enough, finally.
"NO, I DON'T THINK SO!!!"

Taking personal lessons from Bawney Fwank can be hazardous to your health. D/O how close the instruction is, and how many instructors there are.
Thanks for posting, and for the info.
The date on the xmission -- 1995 vice 2005, possibly?
There are so many levels and diverse groups, individuals who are connected one way or another on the world scene that all fall in line with a one world government controlled by a select elite group of families and organizations it is often difficult to connect the dots within the web. We often get snap shots of parts of the over all ultimate sin.
Whereby may hang another tale.
Al Gore, Sr., came to office by defeating a longtime (36 years) Tennessee Democratic Senator, Kenneth McKellar, who had gradually gone on the outs with FDR. FDR, and then his allies and successors, in the McKellar's last two primary campaigns had actively cast about for, and supported, more "liberal" opposition.
It seems that, as McKellar's disagreements with FDR particularly about Roosevelt's appointments grew, gradually "came to be seen" (I'm deliberately using the liberal stink-uendo talk described in mephitic, microscopic detail by Ann Coulter in Treason, as she considers some of those same FDR appointments and the kind of friends they had) as somewhat .... erratic, perhaps a little bit crazy, or perhaps irrational would be a better word .... as the stink of FDR's Red-riddled New Deal machine got worse and worse, with people like Henry Wallace, Harry Dexter White, and their crew of young "Harvard Pinks" throwing money away and bringing literally hundreds of Soviet spies into the Government all through the 1930's and 40's.
McKellar, btw, was briefly portrayed in the current film Public Enemies grilling J. Edgar Hoover about his police-state methods and sky's-the-limit budget requests.
Eventually, FDR spread enough stink about McKellar around the Tennessee Democratic Party that he was eventually defeated by Gore Sr. and the "progressive" forces in the DemoRatic Party in a bitter primary contest.
Ok, you want on topic.
How is doing race based or point of origin based immigration an American value.
I would think a Chinese doctor would be better than a Norwegian quasi retard. But that distinction was not made.
The fact that Clinton personally issued the waivers that allowed Communist China to target its missiles at American cities is grounds for impeachment, regardless of whether or not there was any quid pro quo for those decisions. The policy decisions were, on their face, dangerous to U.S. national security. But the way Clinton did this, and why he did it, weaves a fascinating fabric of scandal.
Our special election congressman (who replaced Richardson) called me December 1998 when Clinton had delayed impeachment proceedings with his cruise missile attack on Iraq. He said it was common knowledge the White House strategy had been, "They're going to impeach us--let it be just about sex, not about the treason."
I had forgot the supposed "lockbox" ("black box") containing the encrypted guidance technology.
The Chinese cordoned off one crash site and scoured it--afterwards our engineers reported the black box encrypted chips missing.
The 1997 instance of a Communist Chinese official praising the speeches of Hillary Clinton as effective propaganda.
Ron Brown's securing of the launch deals--then his tragic collision with a mountain and a bullet.
Wouldn't the ChiComs prefer Hillary to the Islamist? He's bankrupting their cash cow.
You see, from what I gather, Americans of Chinese origin do not vote solidly Democratic, so they haven't fulfilled the Kennedys' (and their allies') dreams as they may have hoped.
Chinese-Americans lean Republican when they vote. The Nisei and Filipinos vote Democratic (Inouye, Akaka). I'm not sure about the Koreans, but I think they lean Democratic, too.
Code talk for "election fraud."
