Two arrested in Asian attack on police in Luton

LONDON (Reuters) - A group of 200 Asians attacked a police patrol team with fireworks in Luton, north of London, where a right-wing march had been planned, police said on Sunday.

In a statement Bedfordshire Police said 50 officers and six police horses had been called in the afternoon after a small team of constables and police community support volunteers had been attacked by about "200 members of the younger Asian community" in the Bury Park area of Luton.

The march of an opposing group was pre-emptively banned, but they predictively let the 'Asians' come out to riot anyway.

When the British say "Asians" they usually mean South Asians, not East Asians as we do here. But let's face facts - they're really talking about Muslims here. There were no South Asian Hindus, Sikhs, Buddhists, Jains or Christians involved in this violence. They were Muslims, and the British press doesn't mind indirectly smearing other religious groups to cover for the actions of Muslims.

I was born in Luton and went there a few years back. I didn’t see too many of these sort of punks as they all tned to live in the one area/enclave. I saw lots of Nigerians and they were friendly. There are still a lot of (fighting)Irish in Luton and so I don’t think these people tend to cause too much trouble but there seems to be a growing number and you have to wonder how long before they become emboldened by those growing numbers.
