Imagine the media brouhaha if the shoe were on the other foot, a kid praying on TV for a GOP goal.

I guess it wasn’t important enough to cut them a check for it. Kennedy was always looking for a way to spend other people’s money.

You have no “right” to something that must be provided by the labors of another person! What the left seeks to do is to enslave the produces to the takers.

We already have quality health care for evey American. It's called indigant care an anyone who comes in is cared for.

What we do not have is a government run, inefficient, quota oriented, one-size-fits-all (unlees of course you are an annointed politician) plan that will lower the bar for the majority of Americans.

And by God, I refuse to pray to God in Heaven for any such monstrosity because it would be an outrage and a perversion before His eyes!

Twisted use of the Church is more like it.

I am quite intrigued by co-opting of the Catholic Church by Obama and his administration and sympathizers.

If this man is not the antichrist, he's a jolly-well effective prototype.

Mark the words, no pun intended.

Shame? Let's face it. It's got the entire family into prestigious universities, public office &/or lucrative professions & kept them there until the next generation was ready to take over. And when 1 of them dies, the accolades & tributes go on for months.

So, no there is no shame. Quite the contrary, as a matter of fact.

Another sacrilege by the Kennedy clan. What the faithful were actually praying for here were prayers to close down Catholic hospitals since they wouldn’t perform abortions covered by this bill, and for Catholics to pay for abortions elsewhere with their tax dollars and to also pay for the experimentation on human life in its earliest stages. Thanks again, Kennedys, for passing on the evil legacy to your youngest and thanks again shepherds of the Church for not reviewing what is asked for in prayers that take place before Christ’s Own True Presence. What happens when authorities give more respect for man’s will than God’s.

Just the next generation of obnoxious Bucky Beaver-toothed Kennedys doing what Kennedys do. We can hope that someday they all will gather behind the walls at Hyannis Port to count their billions, shout about windmills, invite their comrades Obama and Chavez up for some Pabillon Criollo, and leave us the hell alone. Lord hear our prayer.

53. Especially on Sundays and feasts of obligation there is to be restored, after the Gospel and the homily, "the common prayer" or "the prayer of the faithful." By this prayer, in which the people are to take part, intercession will be made for holy Church, for the civil authorities, for those oppressed by various needs, for all mankind, and for the salvation of the entire world

II Vatican Council, Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, Sacrosanctum Concilium

69. In the Prayer of the Faithful, the people respond in a certain way to the word of God which they have welcomed in faith and, exercising the office of their baptismal priesthood, offer prayers to God for the salvation of all. It is fitting that such a prayer be included, as a rule, in Masses celebrated with a congregation, so that petitions will be offered for the holy Church, for civil authorities, for those weighed down by various needs, for all men and women, and for the salvation of the whole world.67

70. As a rule, the series of intentions is to be

1. For the needs of the Church;

2. For public authorities and the salvation of the whole world;

3. For those burdened by any kind of difficulty;

4. For the local community.

Nevertheless, in a particular celebration, such as Confirmation, Marriage, or a Funeral, the series of intentions may reflect more closely the particular occasion.

General Instruction of the Roman Missal (Third Typical Edition)

In other words, while the words could be modified to be a little vomit-inspiring, what was read has absolutely nothing to do with what was supposed to happen.

“..decent quality health care as a fundamental right and not a privilege, we pray to the Lord.”

In essence, he is praying that the Lord curse the United States of America to ensure that our quality of life is lowered. He is upset that it is already a reality in America that every American already has the privilege of the best health care system in the world.

Using Teddy's corpse for the advancement of Marxist values, in the guise of Christian prayer, is more of the same ilk we have seen over, and over, again from the American Media protected Left. This is, of course, no worse in taste or morality than Sarah Brady using her still breathing husband's remains, for a platform prop in an effort to take away some of our most basic individual rights. Most Conservatives would have too much of a sense of propriety to even consider stooping to this level.

But all of that aside. If Health Care is a fundamental right, simply by virtue of existence, are not food, shelter & raiment, also fundamental rights? What about sexual fulfillment? Social acceptance? Just where would these people draw the line between such an interpretation of Natural Law & morality, and outright Communism? Or do they simply hold back from stating such ultimate objective for fear that the rest of us might actually wake up to the fact that there is an impassable ideological barrier between what America was premised on, and the whole Marxist influenced litany of nonsensical policy demands?

My September Feature at my Web Site is on Health Care "Reform": Health Care or Armageddon. I'll give you a hint. I do not find that the Obama/Kennedy claimed "crisis" is in Health Care.

Do ya think the little schmuk (come on, he’s a Kennedy)wants health care for us that’s equal to health care for the Kennedy felon class?

If he does, are they willing to give up their liquor dollars to help pay for it?

If the answer is no, tell the kid to go skiing, flying, or driving. All seem to have the same effect on the spazmo Kennedys.

The 10th is a big one that is openly violated by those of the leftist persuasion,

but I believe, only because they approach it from an “envy” instead of “emulate” standpoint. Leftists would rather destroy what their neighbor has than to emulate him and achieve likewise.

In the case of emulation, your desire can be for the possibility that you’ll be blessed as your neighbor if you act as your neighbor, as long as his actions are worth emulation - ie, are Godly.

“You have no ‘right’ to something that must be provided by the labors of another person!”

There’s the rub, eh?

But I gotta tell you, a lot of people don’t see it that way. Many folks I talk to think everyone should get care, regardless of their ability to pay. In fact, I believe there are laws that force hospitals to treat those who can’t pay.

Even around here, if a poll were taken, how many would agree with the following:

“Each person is entitled only to the healthcare services which he is able and willing to pay for. And to nothing more. For those unable to pay, even in life-threatening situations, voluntary charity is the only recourse. And this includes children.”

On the other hand, if healthcare is a basic human right, then food must also be one. But grocers are not required by law to provide for those who can’t pay.
